Wow where did you get The Hits?

For those who don't know, it was announced for a July 13th 2009 release (the date of the first This Is It show) but was withdrawn after Michael's death if I remember correctly.

You're very much correct KingMikeJ, this UK release was indeed cancelled shortly after MJ passed. I got all of my 5 copies of The Hits from a chap who works for a UK Radio station - clearly some had already made it through the distribution channels before they were recalled and destroyed.

That's cool. I had a look on ebay and it's on there for £100. And by the way, the Japenese 3.0 edition looks amazing!

When The Hits first appeared on the collectors market they were fetching over €300 a peice, but then all of a sudden eBay became flooded with them... Perhaps someone was knocking out bootleg copies / perhaps it's not as rare at first thought, either way the going price now appears to have settled at around £70.

Hehe, this isn't the only thing I collect - I currently have over 560 different MJ CD's in my collection. I posted these as there was a large variety of the same item which I thought people might find interesting to look at. Whilst the majority of these CD's are nothing special , the Japanese versions along with the Acetates and The Hits are truly awesome items imho.

Yeah I'm very lucky to have 5! I bought these when there were very few in circulation so I literally grabbed as many as I could get when the opportunity presented itself - I simply love this item. The original plan was to trade my extra copies, but I've since decided to keep them as they look so good

I could never understand why the hits version was pulled, I always thought it looked better than the essentials cover

It was pulled because it was supposed to be released around the time of the This Is It concerts, but because of his death they cancelled the release.
