Listening to Heartbreaker and Invincible lately I noticed the lovely, soothing vocal harmonies in the bridges of these songs, and have started to pay more attention to these elements of his songs.

Anyone else got any favorite background harmonies from Michael in his songs? :)

Would be GREAT if anyone had these in acapella :clapping:

The one that stands out the most must be Leave Me Alone!
His vocal harmonies and layering in the chorus was genius and amazing!

His harmonies have always been outstanding, right back to the days with the Jacksons and they are very strong right from the word go on Off The Wall, the title track has stunning harmonies on the chorus. Throughout his career it's always been a gift of his, and lesser known tracks such as Got The Hots and Someone Put Your Hand Out are fantastic examples of this. I mean check out 2:58 to the end http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFy8PL1aJik his harmonies were always flawless.

That's one of the reasons why I love those songs so much- and can't understand when folks stomp all over 'Invincible'. I just need a good headset to take it apart in my ears, it's lovely. People don't realize what GREAT bridges he wrote.

I love '2Bad'. Just very quick harmonies '2 bad, 2 bad'- and they're sharp and crisp.

While 'Ghosts' and 'Is It Scary' go towards the longer, etheric, stretched out harmony. And I think someone mentioned 'Leave Me Alone'- that's brilliant right there! I love "Who is it" for the same reason. Or "In The Closet"- the whole 'because there's something about you baby' etc- very understated, but it works.

I learned a lot just by listening.

The obvious favourite would be Human Nature. But as Sam says there's too many to mention.

He has always made the best vocal harmonies ever, nobody can't ever beat him either here. :)
