michael's ethnic background

i know that michael was a black american but what other ethicites made up his racial background? im just curious because he looked to be of native american descent as well,as many black americans are
i even heard he might have been of asain descent

Joseph had a book in which he wrote that - I think - his grandfather was a Cherokee Indian. And Michael himself told a Taiwanese family whom he befriended that he had Chinese ancestors from his mother's part.
