I heard Michael went on a diet in the 80s. Does anyone have a link to a site with more information on this or could someone explain it to me?

Thank You and God Bless,

I don't have a link...but I know he started to become a vegetarian around 86 or so...not sure.....started to eat more fruits and vegetables and generally just ate healthier......that's all i really know...

What really amazed me is how that later on in his life he could eat so much KFC but still stay thin

The reason he started to eat vegetarian is because he suffered from acne so much and I think one of his brothers experienced good results from it as well, so he wanted to try that since he suffered emotionally from his acne.

If I remember correctly it is mentioned in his book "Moonwalk"

Yes, and this time he had a Brazilian chef who worked several years for him. His name was Raimunda Pereira Vila Real, but he called "Remy". She gave some interviews in Brazil (after June 25) and said he was 100% vegetarian. She talked about foods she did to him and said that Michael loved to eat pancakes vegetarian she did.

When she was interviewed, she showed many pictures of her with Michael, that was the only one I found on the Internet.

"He did not eat any food (...) and like my food. Did vegetable pancake..."

"Michael loved Brazilian food. Invented many recipes to please him, since he was a vegetarian. For fear of being poisoned, I tested every food before. One day, I joked that he was feeling bad after taste. He ran to call 911, but held on time, " joked the Brazilian naturalized American of 84 years.

More:

"Mushrooms, wild rice and salsa. It was the dish that made Michael Jackson to hire me as a cook at a dinner at the home of Quincy Jones (famed producer who was responsible for Thriller and Bad)," she said, always escorted by Costa Rican Javier Lizano, a kind of does everything in his life. Owner Remy remembers the exact moment when he had his first contact with Jackson: "Quincy Jones took him where I was and said to him: "I have a sister to introduce you." "Sister?" He asked. "Yes, she also is a Jehovah's Witness." "The cook went to the U.S. in 1969 at the invitation of musician Sergio Mendes. Before, I had already cooked for the Brazilian president Juscelino Kubitschek. But fame came when he became the official chef of Michael Jackson in 1981.

She worked 17 years for him.

During the late 70s early 80s, Mike ate macrobiotic foods, at least that's what some magazines said at the time. John Lennon did this for a while, and I think Madonna did too for a few years. Mike was a vegetarian during the 80s, but during the Bad tour one of his doctors recommended that he start eating fish. I think that was about the time he quit being a vegetarian.

I think that he had a balanced diet...........

Which means that KFC (Mmmmmm) had to be balanced out with healthy food!!!!!
