Great news. It wouldn't have been right otherwise. It's sooo great to see Michael's craft associated with an olympic event, i've always dreamt of something like this. In spite of the circumstances we ought to celebrate it cause it's a milestone.

Oh thank God!!! That is so sweet. I can't wait to hear it. I am so glad Janet is doing this. And I am so happy that Michael will be involved somehow! How could they not? That's crazy. Thank you Katherine!!

:bugeyedIF THEY would have told me this before... if that Quincy Jones wouldnt have NOT said that NO VOICES FROM THE ORIGINAL VERSION WOULD BE USED IN NO WAY CAUSE THERE WOULD BE AS MUCH AS THREE TIMES MUCH MANY STARS... and IF HE WOULD HAVE HEARD US BEFORE, when we were asking almost screaming for Michael's vocals on it, i would be glad, now seems like EXPLOITATION and i dont like it.... this is last resource MICHAEL WOULD NOT BE GLAD ........ why now??? at the end???? so very hypocrite....so very Quincy Jones....


I DONT LIKE THIS Michael at the level of some of those people there... aweful pure exploitation.... But Now as Michael is gone, and this kind of things seems to go on and on like nothing....and lovely, loyal, goodhearted and goodfriend :bugeyed Quincy Jones :bugeyed is using his late biggest promoter Michael Jackson... SHAME on him.

I am so glad. I always smile when the camera focuses on Michael's sparkly socks and shoes at the beginning.:)

Katherine SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS, remember Quincy and that shady character Randy Phillips, .... they didnt wanted Michael first.......even when we were asking for it ALL THE TIME.... Katherine should not allow this... no way.

Michael is beeing used cause (of course) now he cant say nothing, do you want that BS person Randy Phillips and Quincy Jones to take advantage of him cause he has passed away???? REMEMBER THEY DIDNT WANETD MJ AT FIRST....

Thanks, I figured something like that was going to happen.

Firstly, a lot of fans were complaining when they said Michael would not be appearing and secondly, now that Michael has been added, they have created the necessary buzz for this project, which in my opinion had been lacking up until this point.

Michael's presence will be felt around the world, once again, I'm very happy about that. Nevermind all of those other artist (LOL), everybody is going to be waiting to see how they mesh Janet and Michael together. Sort of adds some excitement to the whole thing, for me.

It is an after thought from Quincy & Lionel because they initially said ... if Michael was alive, he would have wanted to be in the back-ground & that none of the old cast were involved in the new recording.

Only Janet was going to sing Michael's part.

Now they have changed things because ...

MJ fans went on a MAJOR campaign on twitter, facebook to request/demand that Michael be retained on the new release of his own song.

Seems Mrs Jackson heard this & made the request on our behalf.

The CHEEK/HYPOCRYCY that Quincy & Lionel had on Larry King Live last night after they initially wanted to leave Michael off!!!

Here's what they said ...

“To have Michael’s presence singing his part is the best gift we could ever get,” Richie said. “His original image and him seeing his part.”


Richie called the duet with Janet Jackson “magical.”

“She’s singing with Mike,” Richie said. “It was all put together with fabulous choreography. It’s magical.”

The request came straight from Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, herself, the pair told

But why now have MJ's children been left off ... if I see other children performing?

Michael's children have more right to be there than the other kids as it is their Fathers song. They were supposed to have narrated part of a Maya Angelou poem at the end?

Anyway let this be a lesson that Michael's Soldiers of L-O-V-E have the strength to make things happen like they did in this case ... because they let Quincey & Lionel know in no uncertain terms, that MJ's millions of fans worldwide would not buy/support this CD if Michael was not involved. They would give to Haiti in another way.

SHAMONE !!!

Listen many many MJ fans fought to get Michael on this new release of We are The World & he will be seen worldwide again and at the Olympic Games.

His message & his song of HEALING the WORLD gets out to the whole globe ... and this is positively fantastic!!!!.

I was not wishing to be rude at all ... but I would appreciate that you do not tell us that we are wrong either thanks for wanting Michael on his own song ... and your huge letters seem to be shouting at us.

I did wanted Michael FROM THE VERY BEGGINING but Jones was on complete denial, didnt think a campaing was needed, i dont like Jones, i dont like R.Phillips, but its only me i guess,

anyway its great what you did.
 
I for one am delighted that there was a social networking campaign.

And I would have loved to see the look on Qunicy Jones' face when he realized that he would have to adhere to the wishes of Michael Jackson's MANY, MANY fans.

Yes, it will be a young MJ and I'll take that any day than someoe else doing Michael's part. I'm really lookinging forward to this and I'm so glad Katherine was involved and the kids will be doing their part in this as well. Michael would be very pleased that his kids are included, they wanted to be apart of this and rightfully so.

Michael wanted to be in the background and no one from the old cast? Why? Quincy, I don't believe you. Michael didn't want to overshadow anyone, if that's what you mean. I am sure if anyone from the old cast had wanted to participate, Michael would have been more than happy to let them sing. They should have admitted "hey, we did it because the fans protested and Katherine insisted on it, because her son wrote the song". ;D

It's just sad that the fans had to protest and that Katherine had to step in in order for this to happen.
Anyway, I am glad Michael will be on this. :)

that's such a good news for me. I cant wait for it to debut tomorrow !Where can I watch it ? Will there be a streaming ? I really like to thank Michael's mum for requesting her son to be put in We Are The World. It's not a complete WATW without Michael. But I still love the original WATW because that time Michael was still alive :cry: I miss those days and I wasnt even born..

First many people were complaining that Michael could not be in it and now complaining that they are using him? WTH? Yes, they are using him for a good cause.

Sorry, this negativity really bothers me. Sure, everyone of us doesn't want Michael to be used for the wrong cause - but it's about Haiti, people!

And afterall ... IF you don't want to support WATW 2 - don't buy it and support/donate to RedCross, Unicef and/or similar organisations. No one is forced to support WATW 2 in order to help Haiti.

I totally agree and to add to that, these musicians all gathered together and I believe their intentions were good. They put in their group effort and it was for a good cause.

One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch. It is still for a good cause, the original can never be 'replaced' as it has its own place in our hearts and history.
