Butter Michael Jackson Planned For Fair

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa State Fair officials said Tuesday they plan to honor Michael Jackson at this year's fair with a butter sculpture.

Butter sculptor Sarah Pratt, of West Des Moines, said she plans to honor Jackson's extensive contributions to the music and dance industries through a butter sculpture of the pop icon.The annual fair display features a butter cow and other custom creations in a 40-degree cooler in the Agriculture building. Last year's celebrity sculpture was of Iowa Olympian Shawn Johnson.Jackson performed at the fair in August 1971, as a member of the Jackson Five.This year's fair runs August 13-23. Very creative. I never even knew people used butter as a medium for sculpture. Thanks for sharing, this is actually kind of cool.
 
lol im very proud of my home state right now! I will be trying to go to this and i hope i do get to see him. lol Atleast this way i can say "Yes i Saw Michael Jackson!" lol

Just dont want to spread him on my toast.
 
sorry im trying to cope the best way i know how and this Butter MJ has far to many jokes attached to it!. All funny none disrespectful.
 
Actually it's threads like this one that make it easier to cope with the whole thing, for me at least. Fans doing creative things to honor Michael's memory is always a good thing.
