Im wondering did MJ sing Billie Jean song on his concerts on playback or was it live ?

Please could you tell me your thoughts ?

Depends on the tour or even the particular show. The Motown 25 performance was obviously lypsynched straight outta the album.

TII: Dubbed Badly, annoys me every time i watch that one. just doesn't sound right at all

As far as i can say Billie Jean from this is it is 100% live ....at this one im really sure ...but for other billie jeans i dont know ...

Listen to a pitch-corrected version of the 1981 demo. It's the exact same track. He originally did it live, but because either the vocals weren't good (cover-up?) or inaudible, they dubbed it.
