Michael Jackson ''Beat It'' Live Victory Tour 1984

I believe someone on here said it was from a news report but someone oppsoed to that, saying Beat It wasn`t allowed to be filmed by newsstations (which is true).
 
I heard a rumour that it was leaked by the lead guitarist featured in the footage.
 
The footage is from a Washington news company, they also aired other clips of songs. The guitarist obviously contacted them and asked for the footage as he is present in it :)
 
But how would a news company have such footage when they weren`t allowed to be filming other songs (besides tha HH, HN and so on)?
