I was going to post this on my MYSpace, but I thought that this would be a better place. I may not catch as much critsism.
Michael Jackson's Dying?
So the press had done it again. Trying to spin something about the King Of POP that isn't true.
Michael (the apple of my eye, the bain to my very existance) has tried not to be in the limelight lately. he's kept a low profile this year, and when he does make a rare appearance, chaos and pandimonium ensues. He dosen't ask for attention, people look for and find him. I can claim some fault in this because as a life-long fan, I stay on the fan boards looking for evey little update that I can about him. Things have gone boring again since Hold My Hand.
I almost believed this story, but then my common sence came into play. I did get worried when at first I saw a picture of Michael wearing a disguise in a wheelchair being taken to a bookstore. That's when stories resurfaced that he is ill. Then there was another picture that came out on his birthday when he went to Planet Holywood with his children. There was one fuzzy snapshot, and he looked very thin and gaunt. He was also wearing big pajamas and a oversized blazer (well, at least I think it was). Then there was the incident in December when he was being suied by a Prince who claims he didn't meet his contract obligations. Michael's camp claimed that he coudn't make it to the trial because he was sick. So this was raising all kinds of red flags in my mind.
I'm glad there are dedicated fans who refuses to accept anything that they hear and will go out and try to find the truth. As far as the picture taken with Michael in a wheelchair, a fan dug up a picture of Michael wearing a disguise and being pushed around in a wheelchair in 1986. It turns out that Michael has a bad back and has had one since the 80's (and sometimes he just likes to be pushed around for the hell of it. he's just a big kid).
As far as him being too ill for the court appearance, It turns out that he just had the flu bug. Michael has recnetly been seen going to different stores and to a doctors office. Although he is well-covered, he is seen moving about easily, chatting with fans and signing autographs. He dosen't exactly look like he's at death's door to me. At least as of December 31rst. Would a person who needs a lung transplant be walking around unassisted without an oxygen mask and tank? I work in healthcare and that's what someone who is that ill would need.
Would a dying person rent at 40 million dollar mansion and sign a 1 year lease? You'd think he'd be looking at hospice sites, right?
Now people are saying that Michael was invited to perform at Barak Obama's inauguration gala ( what would've been fucking sweet!) and that he turned it down. And that was definitive proof that he is sick. I think that eighter 2 things are going on here. One: Michael's album isn't finished and didn't want to use the inauaguation as a venue for his comeback performance (I don't know why, that would've been perfect). or 2, Michael has a case of the butterflies (no pun intended) and was too scared to perform. I don't think that it would be illness.
So I'm still waiting. this wait grows more frustrating by the month. Michael not doing anything is only making haters feel they're right. That he's a washed-up has been and a shell of his former self. I only hope that he proves these people wrong, and soon.
