Music Director/Composer Michael Bearden Set To Honor "The King Of Pop's" Birthday With A Tribute Song To Raise Money For MusiCares

Los Angeles, CA - Michael Bearden, the Music Director and close friend of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson scored the movie "This Is It" has composed and produced a new profound song titled "One Last Goodbye," a musical tribute in honor of Michael Jackson's birthday on August 29th, which will be available on iTunes. In mirroring the philanthropy efforts of his late friend Michael Jackson, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the MuisCares Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by The Recording Academy that provides emergency health and human services to music people in need.

"One Last Goodbye" will be unveiled to the 'King of Pop fans through Michael Bearden's facebook fan page. In addition, Michael Bearden will perform a live version of the song on UStream and engage fans by answering questions about his work with the late pop icon.

"After Michael passed, I started receiving countless emails on my personal facebook page from Michael Jackson fans who wanted to learn about my untold experiences working so closely with the "King of Pop." Ultimately I think fans really just wanted to connect with anyone who was directly linked to Michael Jackson. From this, I was inspired to launch and design my fan page as a place or refuge for fans to continue to talk and fellowship with each other keeping the spirit of Michael Jackson alive" said Michael Bearden.

In regards to composing a tribute song honoring the birthday of Michael Jackson, I wanted to write something special to commemorate Michael's memory since his passing and recently created the most perfect song titled "One Last Goodbye." It is a genuine expression that best represents how I feel about my friend and colleague. The song pulls at your heart strings and immediately makes you feel loss and love at the same time. I believe it upholds the strong characteristics of MJ but also has elements that represent some of the daunting times he had to experience. Those particular times are a reminder of how we need to treat and embrace one another now and in the future and I believe that was one of Michael's greatest missions" said Bearden.

That's a great thing for him to do. I remember him talking about how Michael showed him the importance of giving back to people and being humble.
 
Awww that is so amazing to hear. Every time you hear Bearden talk about Michael its with such love and awe. I'll never forget the story he told where MJ talked about being humble and the importance of giving back. I for one can't wait to hear it.
 
According to Michael Bearden's Twitter page the song is called 'One Last Goodbye.' I cannot wait to hear it.
 
Michael talked to him about being humble because this man was so arrogant and was not very nice to MJ during rehearsals...i do not like him and i do not care about his music !

I presume Ohood is basing that on what was shown in TII. I remember the discussion on the forum at the time just after TII was released where ppl viewed the footage of head staff like Bearden, Ortega etc as being arrogant to MJ

i remember also what he said about the last night with MJ in the rehearsals, he said that he was in his car waiting for MJ because some folks told him that he must apologizes for Michael ... now this also gives me another clue that he was not nice to MJ,especially if someone asked him to say sorry !

It's released already and nobody told us?
Why didn't he spread the word amongst MJ boards? An easy enough thing to do and it would certainly have got more plays than 2, which is how many times it has been played so far, even though it was released on 23rd August.

Did he want to sneak the song out in secret?! LOL
 
The song is on iTunes. It's on the UK one as I've looked and its there. It really is a beautiful song, you can tell how much he loved Mike.
