It is photoshopped. The guy is Tony Bennett.

Could it have been from the same night as when Tony Bennett took the pic with her?

Actually her hair looks too exact in both pics and if MJ was there and she had taken a pic with him as well, her hair would probably be falling a little differently due to movement. But her having the same pose in both is not completely impossible.

She seems like someone MJ would have liked to have met.

It's sadly impossible. The photo seems like it was taken during "Body and Soul" recording, in 2011, because their clothes match (at least for Tony Bennett)
