I was reading some blog that mentioned Mariah's upcoming film and they referred to her as being 39... Um, I'm pretty sure she's 40. Then I noticed her Wikipedia bio says she was born in 1970 - too bad that for the first 2/3 of her career she was born in 1969. Even TMZ talked about her 40th b-day party and now suddenly she's 39 again. I'm confused!

Also given as 1970, but according to People magazine she was actually born in 1969. In response to fan inquiries about the correct date, a spokesperson of the magazine issued a statement, "we have a copy of Ms. Carey's driver's license, which lists her birthday as March 27, 1969. Furthermore, we spoke with the administrators at the high school she attended who confirmed that Ms. Carey's birthday is March 27, 1969, as did her management when we made our initial interview."

no mariah is 39 years old. she was born in march 1970
 
In the old days, a lot of actors, actresses, & singers lied about their age, saying they were either younger or older than they really were. I don't know what difference it makes anyway.
 
And still are.
Beyonce is said to be born in 1974 instead of 1981.
It would make more sense to me because she does look a lot older than she claims to be and the age difference with Jay-Z.

I don't care, she's still hot as &*^%, even if this is true which makes her 2 years older than me:D

I've never heard about Beyonce being born in the 70s, but I don't know what that has to do with Jay Z. Bill Wyman from the Rolling Stones, who was in his 50s at the time (1990s) married a 19 year old.

We women are sometimes flexible when it comes to what age we are. lol. If she only shaved a year off thats very good. Some women fudge a lot more than that.
 
I'm not trying to dog Miss Carey but get down to the truth. Why lie? Own it.

Also, that is all lies about Beyonce. That is the same sort of thing they tried to do to Michael back in the day. Beyonce is beyond fabulous.
