But what about the way you make me feel with Britney

This is not from the bad album. Did he and Britney prerecorded the vocals? They do sound live and raw.

And what about You Rock My world? Also not the album version voice. Also prerecorded?

Thanks!

So TWYMMF was really live? Who knows more about it-please help.

On the 1st show, Michael sang quite a bit live which was dubbed over with new vocals he must have recorded.

so the voice we hear in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsJQomr6Er0

comes from the tape? Or can we acutally hear a live voice? Is the live voice as you say dubbed over with new vocals so loud that we cannot hear the live vocal?
In the above video I can only hear one voice not a live voice and a dubbed over. Where do you hear the live voice and where the dubbed over-please give me an example.
Thanks for the help.

Please someone help to solve this mystery.

Normally it´very obvious if it´s live or not but not in this case-

I´m really confused.

Some people say only the beginning (Mike´s Voice) of TWYMMF is live

some say the whole song is live only Britney vocals came from tape

Other people say no even Mikes vocals came from tape the whole song was not live

And some people say that the whole song came from tape but Mike was sining live to the tape and you can hear it......... So can someone solve this mystery ?

Thanks!

There was one more the Jacksons performed was 'Shake your body to the ground'. With regards to TWYMMF, I think Michael's vocals were pre-recorded and Britney sang live, hence why Britney sounded so bad compared to Michael. I maybe wrong though.

Another theory....it says:

only Britney was singing live...

as it stands now we have 4-5 different theories about the performance:)

MJ's performance of Beat It and Way You Make Me Feel were all playbacks. Billie Jean and You Rock My World was lip synched....but the Jackson brothers stuff was all live

What is the difference between Playback and Lip Synched????????????

The Vocals for TWYMMF & Beat It are the album vocals only dropped in pitch.

All The J5 Stuff was live on each night. They just mixed both concerts together and a bad audio mix didn't help

I thought Britney was singing live at first. Upon further inspection, I believe she was lip syncing.

In watching concerts and such with Michael performing, I always wondered how he could ever sing live when he moved as much as he did. He put so much energy into his performances, I just was amazed at him. You can tell in different shows when he's a bit winded, so that's always when I assume he is lip syncing. So understandable though, as I said, because he was almost constantly dancing and moving.

twymmf - does mj prompt britney at stages? that what it appears like. michael points his finger on a few occasions and she walks in the direction - or is that part of the sequence...

Yup, that's exactly it.

does anyone have gloria gaynor singing i will survive because i cant find it anywhereeeeee

I could never figure out what was live and what wasn't. A few tracks were obviously not live like Billie Jean and Beat It. But then you had tracks like You Rock My World...where he went live at the end. And he also did some live stuff towards the end of Billie Jean.

The J5 stuff was even harder for me. I forget which track it is but you can clearly see Michael start to "Sing" before the track begins. Then he says "everyone clap your hands" or something like that. During "I'll Be There" I swear Jermaine didn't sing live and I'm not sure about the others at all.

That show is so hard to tell because he kept switching it up it seemed. Plus some of the vocals seemed redone and such. Kinda drives me nuts lol. I stopped trying to figure it out.

Thanks!

Britney and MJ mimed.

You rock my world was mimed on second night and on first night some parts were live.

I don't know about jacksons stuff because i ussualy skip it, but i think that all their songs on first night were singed live.

They did a frickin FANTASTIC job at masking the lip syncing, though. Some parts, you seriously can't tell! I think it's because the vocals sound so raw and crisp.. its very easy to confuse it with the live vocals.
