I wanted to share some a few amazings songs from the Motown era that most fans might not have heard. These songs don't appear in any of the Motown compilations, but are gems for sure.

2-4-6-8 (J5)
That's how love is (J5)
Wings of Love (Got to be there album)
You've got a friend (Got to be there album)

Please give these songs a listen and also share similar songs.

One More Chance (ABC)
Petals (Maybe Tomorrow)

Going Back to Indiana (Third album)
Doctor My Eyes (Lookin' Through The Windows)
Morning Glow (Music & Me)
Dear Michael (Forever, Michael)
Just A Little Bit Of You (Forever, Michael)

From the Soulsation! box set:

You've Changed
A Fool For You (I listen to this with my mouth open, he covers Ray Charles so amazingly well)
It's Your Thing (Isley Brothers cover)

I think most of J5 work is underrated and less known.

I love 'Just a little bit of you'

Honey Love from Moving Violation...well, pretty much the whole album is very under appreciated! Some great disco stuff on there.

We've got A good thing

It's Great to Be Here (This was sampled on All About The Benjamins from P Diddy)

Its not from Motown but "Find Me A Girl" from Goin' Places is great.

None of those are unknown, they're all released on albums or compilations and they are simply AMAZING.

There are a lot of unknown J5 songs floating around on internet that aren't on any album.

To Sir With Love
Daydreamer
Sunny Boy
Come and Get It
Be My Girl

and many more..:)

Wow, I haven't heard of these and I thought I heard everything. Thanks for recommending them. :D

Also, I'd add the I Want You Back Unreleased Masters is a must have album.

i came across you've changed and i'm the one you need recently . . . jacksons pre-thriller post-motown is another good place to look

If someone would ask me to mention a J5 song the first I would think about would probably be Going back to Indiana.
It was popular in Sweden once upon a time.
"Doctor my eyes" was popular too.

Don't know if they qualify as 'lesser known' but i really dig these
