She released that Unplugged album, but it didn't do well. She did a couple of new songs with the Fugees a few years ago, but that didn't do anything either. I don't think many people are really interested in her style of music today.
 
Is she a druggy then?

It's such a shame she seems to have squandered her talent. The Miseducation was like a modern-day Songs In The Key Of Life. It really was a special album.
 
Still got a good performing voice..Still looks like she enjoys it..But she also looks alot like Oprah these days and as high as a kite in Mary Poppins

I don't know if she does drugs, but that has never stopped anyone else from recording like Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Chaka Khan, Keith Richards, Billie Holiday, The Go-Gos, Miles Davis, Elton John, Beatles, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, etc. It's not called "Sex, Drugs, & Rock n' Roll" for nothing. There's been rumors for many years about Lauryn having mental problems though.

She should do a album by herself. Shes very talented and alot of people want her back so I dont think that is the reason. She defintly wont be mainstream but she would have a fanbase. She still sounds great.
 
the miseducation is the perfect examle of what classic hip hop and r&b album should sound like
 
Lauren Hill will have a mainstream audience, IMO. Miseducation was one of the best selling albums in the 90s, and its unfortunate she took a long hiatus between her succesful years. With the right producers and writers, she could be awesome like 1998.
 
Appariantly this is a new song of hers that has leaked. Could be just an unreleased song or possible a new song for a new album?



Either way it sounds really good. I loved her "Miseducation" album. It seems there are more people than I first thought out there that want to hear new stuff as long as it is quality music. I love that her music has a message and talks about issues that a lot of people can relate too.
