Hi everyone, i just landed in heathrow airport, first time visitor.. wondering what anyone thinks i should be doing and "must do's" while here... any sudgestions??
Depends on what you are into, really... I would suggest going to Selfridges during viewing hours, theyve got nice stuff to see even if you dont have means to purchase them.
Foodwise, there should be a weekly market at Byng Place, near Euston station. Theyve got yummy chicken, pakora, some Nepalese meals and so on. I also love My Old Dutch - pancake restaurant - at Holborn. They have some special deals on Mondays.
If youre impatient, avoid Oxford Street. Buying Christmas presents there has been the worst idea ever
And if you like paintings, take the Tube, definitely the Bakerloo line. Do they still feature Poems on the Underground?
Camden Market is very busy at the weekend... You could have a look at Greenwich, theyve got a nice park. What else... You know you used to be a Londoner if youve never visited the cliched tourist hotspots
Thanks fullipsdotnose - i alptecoate the input. Ive been doing more local stuff since i got here with the peeps that live here but today we shud have the opp to venture out a bit...
