Italian fanclub michaelmania.com just posted official press release by Sony-BMG Italy regarding upcoming Italian edition of King of Pop greatest hits.

Italian fans will be able to vote their favourite songs through a website or a partner site to be unveiled in the coming days. The 15 most voted songs will form the tracklist of 'King Of Pop - Italian Version' that will be released in early October.

SonyBMG Italy gave the chance to top 3 italian fanclubs to point out "special" songs to be added to the top 30 voted from the general public as a sort of "special mention tracks".

Among the songs fanclubs can vote there are:
Carousel (short/cut version, NOW COMPLETE) 3:40
Got The Hots


Imagine what? No one is voting for Carousel FULL Version. :doh:

This Italian album could be unique with the Carousel full on it. No others KOP have it so far.....

I agree. However it's better than nothing to have it officially released on cd, isn't it?
Once fans have the chance to suggest Sony Got The Hots and Carousel (full), they prefer to vote for tracks already released. It seems their illegal mp3s are just enough for them.

An italian fan who works in a music wholesale shop has just reported today he received communication from SonyBMG Italy that King Of Pop album will be released on Friday October 3. The final tracklist is still to be announced.

Carousel (full version) to be included in Italian edition of King Of Pop greatest hits.

We're glad to tell you that the unreleased full version of Carousel will be included in the upcoming King Of Pop - Italian edition. Sony-BMG Italy announced it to mjj.it, one of three italian fanclubs Sony asked to choose special songs as special mentions to be added to tracks voted by general public. The final tracklist is still to announced.

The tracks choosen by the fans are as follow:
We've Had Enough
Whatever Happens
Carousel (full version)
Got The Hots

King Of Pop - Italian Edition is scheduled to be released on October 3.

Dear MJFans,
the MJFanSquare (www.mjj.it) team has just received official communication from Sony Italy that the Italian version of the "King Of POP GH" will contain an unreleased song together with other tracks choosen by fans in the MJFanSquare and Michaelmania.com forums.

The songs are:
Carousel (COMPLETE VERSION 3:40)
Got The Hots
We've Had Enough
Whatever Happens

"King of Pop" will feature 30 hits divided into 2 CDs in a Digipack cover and will be released on October 3rd 2008.

You can check the poll we made clicking THIS LINK - as you can see both FanSquare and Michaelmania users choose We've Had Enough as their first choice, so together with Sony we decided to put our second choice on the CD: "Whatever Happens".

Carousel was then added to the tracklist thanks to the loads of fan requests that were made. We asked Sony and they agreed. That's great!

:scorerer:...at the end michaelmania suggested to add also Carousel besides WHHE (most voted by fans in their forum). I also contributed by complaining a lot in forums (and I had very few support I must say

So far, this version seems to be the best KOP by far!!

I hope this is not the final tracklist! I mean, from 30 songs we got 15?!? We had to have a double CD and we got one?
And there is no Carousel, no Got The Hots....
And it says that it will be released on October 10th, when it was said that it was going out one week before...
Let's hope this is a mistake...

I know that CD 1 of the GERMAN EDITION is an opendisc, yes ;)

for example the correct tracklist for the Dutch edition is this, not the one on the opendisc site
