CHELSEA — The King of Pop is still the star of the show.

Photographs of Michael Jackson's possessions - including spangly gloves, bejewelled slippers and even a royal crown - have gone on display at a new exhibit in Chelsea.

"Neverland Lost — A Portrait of Michael Jackson" takes viewers on a photographic journey through the life of the singer, as seen through the lens of portrait photographer Henry Leutwyler.

"I'm excited because I feel what Henry did shows both the public… and the personal side of Michael Jackson, which made for a very interesting story," said Michael Foley, the gallery's owner.

Leutwyler, who had been sent to California to photograph the crooner's famed studded white glove, became interested in the vast amount of Jackson's personal effects that were simply sitting in storage, waiting to be auctioned off.

He became so enamored with the project that he ended up spending three days and took a second trip back to the storage site to go through Jackson's personal belongings and document them, painting a picture of the troubled star's life.

"It's fascinating. It's a man's life in storage," Foley said.

The exhibition, located at Foley Gallery at 548 W 28th Street, 2nd floor, will run through April 2, 2011.

Michael Jacksons personal belongings.....not so personal anymore  I hate the thought of people rumaging through his stuff, even if it is for auction, it's not even two years yet and still feels like yesterday.

Much Too Soon, For me.

I'm sure though that many many people will enjoy this exibition.
