<!-- get socials 2 --><!--INFOLINKS_ON-->Michael Jackson's mother has decided against selling the family compound in Encino, California and she has withdrawn a legal petition requesting permission to offload the property.
Estate executors for the King of Pop filed documents in a Los Angeles court earlier this month (Sep11) on behalf of Katherine Jackson, after she expressed a desire to get rid of the sprawling mansion, which was valued at over $4 million (£2.5 million) at the time of her son's death.
But the Jackson family matriarch has since had a change of heart and Howard Weitzman, a lawyer for the estate, withdrew the bid during a court hearing on Wednesday (28Sep11).
However, the judge presiding over the case did approve Katherine's plans to buy a new house. According to Tmz.com, she is looking to purchase the home she's currently renting in Calabasas for her and Jackson's three children, Prince Michael, Paris, and Blanket.
Katherine's decision to keep the Encino estate comes as her late son Michael's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray stands trial for involuntary manslaughter. He has pleaded not guilty to charges he administered the fatal dose of anaesthetic Propofol that cost Jackson his life in June, 2009.

The house is own by the estate....they are being gracious to take her pov into consideration.

She sold Hayvenhurst to her child to hide from creditors. That's how MJ ended up with owning his parents' house.

Who will be staying at Hayvenhurst if Katherine and PPB staying at Calabasas? Are Jermaine's/Randy's kids staying at Calabasas too now?
 
Maybe The Estate is looking at making it a museum of some sort?

Its not about what Katherine wants ultimately, she does NOT own that house, the Michael Jackson Estate does, so when you have Jermaine going on like the house belongs to the family, he just comes off as ridiculous.
 
Aww, I hope they stay. Would be nice to have them grow-up in the home their father did.
 
they don't want to stay in that house, katherine is eyeing a more luxurious house for the estate to buy, the one she's staying in.
 
I read somewhere else that paris/prince(?) had tweeted that their gorgeous dog is still in encino, prob dogs aren't allowed in the rented property. So unless tins of pedigree chum dogfood magically appear at meal times i suspect that there is still some family living in the property.
 
For some reason I thought one or two of Tito's son's lived on the property. I could be wrong though.
 
I guess the estate can sell it in a year or two seeing as katherine owns them six mill now

This story is like a yo yo. First the house is being sold by Katherine; then no, she did not know it was being sold; then yes she is selling it; and finally she does not want to sell it. Some people have too much time on their hands.
