Karen Faye is a true friend of MJ?

I want to learn more about Karen Faye. I found her msg. in youtube.com and this msg seems to me very touching and very nice. I think she is a really good MJ friend.

Oh yeah, she's a "true" friend. When fans who were at MJ's rehearsal EVERYDAY and talked to him knew how bad he was doing. THE FANS wanted to do an intervention, they came to Karen thinking she was a true friend...but what she do? She told them to "hush", Karen even said she saw people PHYSICALLY feeding Michael, but "he was perfectly fine". If you want to read more about that, you will have to go back a few hundred pages on Karen's facebook, the fans who were there with Michel everyday will tell you everything they saw. I believe them, they have nothing to gain or lose. To a certain extent I think Karen was a friend, but I don't think she was a true friend. A true friend doesn't say "hush" and ignore when another friend is in trouble.

Thank you. I still do not know how to view her FB pages. I want to have my own opinion about her. I do not say that Karen is 100% OK. Ppl make mistakes, but I want to see what she was answering to fans in her FB.
 
She really loved Michael, i wont judge her, i guess she thought Michael was bad, but never thought he was about to die, and to me Michael died cause of that anesthesia not because he was skinny, Michael was very skinny yes, but he was never fat or anything, he was very thin in the 80's, i dont know, she was at the funeral, her face was just hearbreking, i mean i dont even know what to say anymore:(
 
I won't say yea or nea against her ...due to certain people I know here that follow her every word. Yet for me...I take things with a grain of salt and I won't pass judgement ...it's not my place. Yet I will say she did play favorites and hurt alot of good fans back during the trial times...

Really? So even she was not a friend? Good lord.......she did seem so genuine and good when she explained his vitiligo and during documentaries....but really people. If we are saying this...we might as well say that about his family too...his mother, every person that saw him during that time....i mean come on.

I have never seen her say 'he was perfectly fine' - quite the opposite. And I got the impression that she asked fans not to say anything publicly because she was already trying to get help from the inside and didn't want the media getting wind of it (and rightly so imo). Of course, no-one got him the help he needed in time. :(

No one says she's not sometimes genuine...she is. But at times you have to take what she says with a grain of salt. It's good yes, but she makes mistakes and is human. I'm not going to form an opinion on her, because that's unfair.

During the funeral it took a lot of guts to put full fledge make up on a "friend". Michael the costume maker, had to dress him for the final time, that too I can well imagine is heartbreaking.

Just take things with a grain of salt...it's not all what you think as much as you like to believe...been there and have been burned once already.
 
I was another fan who wanted to learn more about Karen. I mean I've known who she was to MJ for years but never thought much about her. Then fans started saying stuff about her because of what she posted on her FB page. Some fans were upset because she called MJ an "addict" but I guess didn't help him because she didn't know how. And apparently she never liked Lisa Marie because of what happened between her and MJ. MJ was apparently hurt but Karen only knew his side of things. (like Lisa couldn't be hurt also?)

Then Karen talked to Lisa at the funeral and now feels like she isn't going to judge Lisa and has a different perspective of things. She said Lisa is "heartbroken" and just that they talked alot at the service. She didn't say what they talked about.

I have no reason to think she's not genuine but I wonder why she'd say some fo these things in public even if it is to the fans.

I just recently got on FB so I am paraphrasing what I have heard/seen from other fans who have been on her page longer.
 
Karen has asked that her comments are not quoted or posted and discussed on the forums. She has said that everyone is welcome to contact her on Facebook, but she doesn't like people to talk about what she said else where, because things can get twisted and she can't reply. I think we should respect that.
 
I can definitely say that hearing most of the stuff 2nd hand what she has said has probably gotten twisted. Don't think it's intentional but that is what happens. I think it's unrealistic for her to think that people aren't going to talk about what she says. That is kinda why I am surprised she even talks about private things.
 
I never saw anything from her bad for Michael or something. She supports him a lot and she only says good things, so at this point I think she's a real friend of Michael.

Yeah. In my opinion, she is NOT a true friend and probably never was. During the trial, some very unfortunate things happened concerning MJJSource. I won't go into that here because what's done is done. Michael FIRED her, ok?

Also during the trial she was all over the fan-boards, as "Turkle." She said personal stuff about Michael she really shouldn't have said. It was like SHE was trying to gather fans?

Fans approached her with serious concerns about Michael. She basically said, "I KNOW," but then told them to shut up. If she'd reacted differently, who knows?

Uhm, she doesn't HAVE a fan-base. She's a makeup artist? Her only "fame" was her connection to Michael.

Every person deserves respect. My respect for her is in the fractions of a percentage.

She can have her fan-base in the future maybe. It doesn't matter that she is not celeb. If she is donig something good for Mike to keep his legacy it is OK.

Musicians, movie stars, and dancers have "fans." I don't think makeup artists do?

Keeping Mike's legacy? Let me be perfectly clear here. Some "follower fans" contacted K.F., VERY afraid for Michael's health and even for his survival. Those email exchanges were posted here. I've seen them, before they were taken down. K.F. told the fans to basically do NOTHING. Could they have made a difference? Would Michael be alive if they had been taken seriously? We'll never know. . . . K.F. said she KNEW Michael was in bad shape. But then she told the fans to keep quiet about it? And then. . Michael DIED. This could not possibly be more serious.

We've had these sorts of discussions before. I'm not sure how it's appropriate for the Investigative Unit, anyway? K. F. isn't being "investigated," as far as I know? Unless failure to act and save a "friend" is indicative of a type of guilt? That's my (educated) opinion. I'm sure there are other opinions here and that's ok, but I doubt that the discussion will be all that productive? Whatever. Carry on .. . . . . .
 
To be honest, I am not that keen on karen faye as posted above she was fired by MJ, so she must have done something serious for him to do that. I get the feeling from her that she is loving all the attention from Michael's fan. I hope i'm wrong though.

You're not wrong. Here it is. . . . During the trial, K.F. and Randy Jackson (and others) put up the MJJSource website, for "official" news and other things. They also offered fans various products, i.e. a calendar, etc. They charged $49.00 for a package of stuff. As far as I know, the merchandise was never delivered to fans . . that's actually a large amount of cash for most fans! Michael was overwhelmed with the trial and was not really connecting with any of this. When he finally realized what was going on, he shut the website DOWN. K.F. then trashed him -- saying that he "failed to support the website as he'd promised." I doubt he really CARED that much about a website. He was fighting for his life. It began as one thing, and turned into a money-making venture.

How do I know all this? I WORKED (volunteer) on MJJSource to get it ready to launch. I soon saw it was sketchy, in my opinion, and separated myself from all of that.

When Michael went to Bahrain after the trial, he fired Karen Faye. She did NOT go with him.

Are we done yet? :(

I'm so glad you said that, Victoria, I'm so glad. I 'm have her as a friend on FB, and what i've learned She is fame hungry. She gathers all people that want to add her and she's writing a book about Michael. Surprise, surprise! Yes, she told fans to shut up when they expressed their concerns about Michael's health and well being. She was on AEG payroll, she said that herself.

We chewed her butt a couple of times on her own wall. I personally don't trust her at all. She speaks ugly things about people that surrounded Michael, particularly women . I gotta feeling that Karen was in love with Michael, only he didn't give it to her. She sighed that she didn't see him naked. LOL
She is a fake in my eyes.
 
I don't know why the fans who saw MJ during his last days are angry at Karen or the This is it crew. Yeah he was very skinny, and yeah everybody saw that, but he was working hard and he was eating. Besides, he did not die of starvation. He died of acute propofol ingestion.
The only people who can be blamed for that are the people who made MJ believe that it was safe to take that medication.
That's how I see it anyway

but why would she have gone with him to Bahrain? Mike went there as a "private" person i mean not performing etc

They'd have to speak for themselves, but I think they are probably angry at anyone who let Michael down.

We don't know if he was or was not eating. The fans said he looked skeletal, and I believe them. Reminder? This is the Investigative Unit? There may be a lot more to this than is seen on the surface?

Oh, no problem. Probably GD would have been better, but, well, here it is? There were many people around Michael in his final days, and possibly Karen Faye was one of them? To turn the convo more toward the investigation, the point is, was Michael or was he not "dangerously thin?" Follower fans, AND Karen Faye, indicated that he WAS. I know that the follower-fans gave Michael some letters expressing concern. Don't know what Karen did, though, except to tell the fans not to talk about it? Strange. .. .. . .
