Catherine Bach’s husband Peter Lopez, was found dead at his Encino, CA home Friday morning, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

Paramedics were called at 11.26 am and never transported the body because Lopez was already dead when they arrived.

Police sources tell RadarOnline.com that the cause of death is an apparent suicide.

Catherine Bach starred as Daisy Duke on The Dukes Of Hazzard TV show.
She was the provocatively dressed sex symbol on the hit show, which was the basis for a 2005 feature film remake. Jessica Simpson played Catherine's role in the remake.
In 1990 she married Lopez and had two children with him, Sophia, 14 and Laura 11.

Lopez was one of Michael Jackson’s music attorneys.

Bach and Lopez founded “C.O.A.C.H. For Kids” in 1998, an organization that provided free medical services for children from low-income families in Los Angeles County.

Lopez, 60, was a highly regarded entertainment lawyer who did a significant amount of work for Michael Jackson. In a 2008 interview with The Guardian, he defended Jackson and said reports that the signer was broke were vastly overstated. “Neverland is not being auctioned off, it's simply that Michael has changed lenders,” he said. “This talk emerges from several journalists in the US who love to spin things in the most negative way possible. The facts are the facts and he's had some cash flow issues in the past, but it's all under control now.”


Lopez got his law degree from UCLA in 1974. in addition to his work as a lawyer, Lopez has also used his musical background and industry relationships to find and create new talent. He was instrumental in developing and managing the careers of Wilson Phillips, Vanilla Ice, and the world-famous Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli. He co-managed the enormously successful "Hell Freezes Over" reunion of the legendary rock group The Eagles in 1994

Music lawyer Peter Lopez found dead in apparent suicide

Sad news this afternoon: Well-known music lawyer Peter Lopez has been found dead at the Encino home he shares with actress wife Catherine Bach.
Police were called to the home today after a gunshot was heard.
"LAPD is on the scene," department spokesman Lt. John Romero told E! Online. "We're still in the early stages of the investigation, but what we gather is it's an apparent suicide."
Lopez, 60, has represented members of the Eagles and Michael Jackson, among others, and served as a producer on the Jennifer Lopez film "Selena." He's a name partner at Century City's Kleinberg Lopez Lange Cuddy & Klein, which declined comment on Lopez.
UPDATE: The firm just gave us this statement: "We are deeply shocked and saddened by the unexpected loss of our friend and partner, Peter Lopez. This is an incalculable tragedy for his family, friends, clients and ourselves. We request that all concerned respect the privacy of Peter's family during this terribly difficult period. Our heartfelt condolences, thoughts and prayers are with the Lopez family."

I think we had better wait and see until they are done with the entire investigation.....suicide???.....Hmmm.....smells fishy.

So seems like a smart guy who could DEFEND Michael with the FACTS.

I wonder what the guy's family has to say about this. If they noticed anything different about him.

And I'm also wondering if there was a reason the false news re-issued out about Michael's alleged gay lover a day before this happened. To take attention away from the suicide?

But maybe it really was a SUICIDE. I won't jump to a full conclusion just yet.

I wonder HOW this suicide happened? Another gunshot?

Was there any mention of a suicide note ?
Were his glasses on or off ?? ( It is a known fact that people who commit suicide take off their glasses so they don't break them)

There is a shooter running around the states....Evan and Lopaz committed suicide with a gun. Let's look at these people closely. Evan was liability for the EGGS (I call the group that killed or tried to kill Michael "covering all angles to respect everyone" EGGS because rotten eggs stink. EGGS means Elite Grugsome Group of Socialities from Santa Barabra & Los Angeles) due to his erratic behavior and it was a guessing game what he was going to do next. Evan brought too much attention to himself and he was suppose to lay low.

Lopaz was preventing the sales of NeverLand and he could not be brought. Someone had threaten him and we will learn about in the upcoming days. Did you read about the reactions of the wife in the article?

On the front lawn for all to see? Geeee! I wonder how many more suicides there will be before the trial of Murray comes along?
 
So sad. His poor family :(

Raffles is devastated.. he said he saw him 2 days ago, and partied with him 2 weeks ago..and everything seemed fine.. there are pics from that night and he looks fine.. but people can hide their emotions I guess.
