We are going to be holding a Halloween event in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Our primary event is a 5k urban obstacle run however, we are also going to be featuring various entertainment elements (live music, zombies, etc.) We are working in cooperation with the City of Las Vegas and Fremont Street Experience. One of the things we want to do is make an attempt at a new Guinness World Record for the number of people dancing to "Thriller" (13,597). We have been approved by the Guinness Book of World Records to make this attempt. We are going to be reaching out to the show an dance community in Las Vegas, as well as through the general promotion of our race website (www.rampageraces.com)
We would like to see if MJJC could possibly help us get the word out to any of the fans who might be interested in joining in. There is no cost to be part of this World Record attempt other than just getting to Fremont Street on that date. It will probably take place around 8 or 8:30PM that night (participants will be contacted with final details in the weeks leading up to the event). The Fremont Street Experience will have cameras in the crowd for displaying images on the canopy overhead, and it will be an awesome part of the event.

Following the race, the attempt will be made to set a Las Vegas world record for the most people dancing to “Thriller”. The event will be held on Fremont Street at approximately 8:30pm. In order to succeed, we will need 14,000 people, and the world will be watching.
