Though it's an album made of covers with only one original song, I think it's a great record and very refreshing. It's mixed beautifully and sounds just great.
If they managed to create an album of originals like "Wake Up" it'd be the best album released in a long time.

They are performing a live online concert to promote the new album on September 23rd. Be sure to check it out.

I really loved the first single "Wake up". It has gotten a lot of airplay over here as well.
I can't wait to hear more of the album.

I've heard the Wake Up song, it's ok, but I prefer the original Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes version. Ya can't beat Teddy P lol.

Bought the album yesterday and gave it a proper listen. Impressive. It's a diversion from the other cover albums everyone's doing. The hip-hop vibes and rap verses are creative and add another dimension to the re-workings. My favorites are Little Ghetto Boy (the original by Donny Hathaway is one of my all-time favorites), Wake Up and I Can't Write Left-Handed... the guitar at the end is amazing.

Shine, the only original track on the album, is also awesome.

I would love a sequel.
