Michael Jackson's dad, Joe Jackson, wants somewhere between $10 million and $500 million from Dr. Conrad Murray to compensate him for the loss of his son's support ... this according to new documents obtained by TMZ.


In the docs -- part of Joe's wrongful death lawsuit -- he claims the money he seeks is in "the realistic range of provable damages."

Joe says 20% of his damages are for loss of support, 40% are for emotional distress and 40% are for "loss of comfort, aid, society and companionship."

And this is huge ... Dr. Murray says he's broke and can't settle anything because his insurance company is refusing to cover him.

Joe's lawyer, Brian Oxman, also says he may take the depositions of more than 60 people who have info regarding Jackson's death.

Dr. Murray says in his new filings he does not want to sit for a deposition until after the criminal case runs its course. It's a whole 5th Amendment thing.
 
Pfffff... Ridic! I don't know much about the American justice system, but I can't imagine him getting anything with this reasoning. Greed is all I read.

Sixty people who had ACTUAL access to both Michael and Murray. Or will it be the fans who followed Michael everywhere he went.

I wonder if that "Billie Jean Jackson" lady will be on Oxman's deposition list. She doesn't like the Executors, that's probably enough for her to make the cut. LOL!

He has 8 other children. Can they not help him financially? Michael was not an ATM machine. It shouldn't be about money or how much it should be about getting justice for his son.
 
I personally think the amount of money Joe requests from Murray is a moot point until he can successfully get a court see him as legally "dependent of Michael" .
 
He's got 8 other kids. Ask Janet to support him, but no, he can continue to use his cash cow Michael in life and in death.

What does he mean by all this? Seriously.. loss of comfort? Huh? Loss of aid and society? Loss of companionship? Omg! I think it is pretty safe to say that Michael never met his family on a regular basis..

It's the intangible qualities of relationship (between Joe and Michael in this case). It includes a broad range of mutual benefits that both parties enjoy from their existence, including love, affection, care, attention, companionship, comfort, and protection.
 
I don't think that he can start depositions now. There needs to be a trial happening so he first needs to overcome Murray's objection that Joe wasn't a dependent of Michael to have the trial going and then he could be getting depositions.

I believe joe know murray dont have this kind of money joe and oxman are aiming more for justice for michael they want to show there evidence of what happen to michael same as katherine and the jackson family with AEG.
 
civil action is for money, not justice.

oxman constantly trashes MJ with this drug addict stories. He needs to read the autopsy and all his BS about the kids' genetics

I wouldn't wish death on anyone.........but the Katherine and MJ3 would have an easier life without him.................

Maybe we could put him on a deserted island (I can't think of a country that would want him) or on the Moon.......he can have all the money he wants.....but no means of getting home or contacting anyone..........

Time to create a "Get Joe to either a deserted island or on the Moon" fund!!!!!!

10 million-500 million and TMZ decisdes to headline half a million,whataver lol good luck with this joe i jsut want murray punished in every possible way. Too bad murray is broke and Joe will be lucky to even sqeeze a penny out of him.

LOL so thats about 20 cents then. anyway this wont go anywhere until he can prove he was a dependent i wonder if oxman has done the maths for what his % will be
