83-year-old Joe Jackson threw on his best track jacket ... and goldest chain ... and hit the club scene in Vegas this weekend ... at 2 IN THE AFTERNOON.

Michael Jackson's father was chillin' at Lavo Champagne Brunch at the Palazzo Hotel ... a full-on nightclub-style party scene ... that serves almond crusted French toast.

Sources at the club tell TMZ ... JJ arrived with a male friend ... and wasn't boozing, only drinking water.

But he WAS pimpin' it ... hangin' out at a table with a group of hot chicks. At one point, he handed his camera to someone and said, "I want a picture with the girls."

After the pic, the girls described JJ as a "sweet old man."

What happens in Vegas ... is weird sometimes.

I saw this earlier today and although I can’t stand Joe I think this story is typical TMZ BS. First they tried to make it sound like Joe was out clubbing at 2 in the morning with the opening title then we find out he was with a man friend out for brunch at 2 in the afternoon and the girls only took a picture with him. Sad but that’s what TMZ is all about. .
 
as long as he's not shilling any tacky merchandise with Michael's name or likeness on them, I dont care, he can party as hard as he likes. Party on joe, just stay far away from PPB.
 
Ummm it does say quite clearly 2pm in the title.

Other than that I haven't got much else to say as I'm busy :puke:
 
This is such a ridiculas story. Joe went to bruch drank some water and had his pic taken. whoopie -
I could care less what he does in his personal time as long as he isnt exploiting Michael

Well daddy is living it up. It's his life so let him enjoy himself, because he is not doing any harm. I only wish his son could be here to enjoy his life too.
 
I don't see what the big deal is in this article. At least Joe wasn't out trying to profit off of Michael at that club. I don't agree with alot of the things that Joe has done. But this is ridiculous, in my opinion.
 
Eh, he's just having a good time and staying out of people's way, for once. He didn't even do anything interesting--he's drinking water at 2pm and having a photograph taken with some chicks. Whoop-de-doo. It's not like he's making out with them or something, and even if he were...they're all adults, so who cares.

Slow news day, eh?
 
That's what I was thinking too....a slow news day. I see no harm in what he is doing. TMZ is TMZ...what can I say!

Tabloid translation: Michael Jackson's dad parties at a Vegas nightclub at 2PM. Then he turns into a total pimp and parties with 20-30 year old girls, as seen in the photo above.
