Jimmy Jam recently was interviewed the by Grammy organization and said that he was working on Janet's new project. In the interview he revealed that him and Janet didn't have any bad blood because she chose to work with different producers with the last album. Watch the video to hear more of what he had to say about working on Janet's upcoming album.

I'm glad to hear this. I always thought Janet and Jimmy Jam needed to get back together.

Nope. Aint nothin' wrong with trying something different.
But I'm glad they are teaming up again too. They just got that chemistry.
Thanks for posting the clip Ivana.

Soooooo, next year this time? Ya think? Lol!

there hasn't been one collab project between the two that i haven't enjoyed. will be looking forward to this one, cheers for posting Ivana.

In this case I'm more interested in The Time's album. They haven't had one since 1990.

sure.
That has been long anticipated.
I'm surprised the fans here do not notice that very good news about the return of The Time : it's just a great group.

I don't think many people here know who they are. Or they only know "The Bird", lol. All of them have worked with Janet except Morris. Jesse Johnson did some stuff on "Dream Street". Monte Moir wrote and produced "The Pleasure Principle". Jellybean Johnson played on "Black Cat", and Jerome Benton (who is Terry Lewis' brother) danced with Janet in the "Control" video. Jimmy, Terry, & Jesse played on and produced Chaka Khan's 2007 album "Funk This".

This is great news.I 'm very happy that Jimmy and Janet are in plans to work together again. That's where the Hits should remain,With the people who gave her that push to success...Even thought it's great to work with others to give the new breed a chance to shine,I know that Janet's work will show her fans that she still get that Groove she had with Jimmy. I wish her luck on this new project.. I do hope that Michael and Q will get back together and Shock the world again someday. What a Comeback that would be ?

not expecting nothing from a colab between them and I'm sure not expecting anything from the time either. Jam and Lewis had there hey day as has Janet and the time didn't get the full chance to.

Janet needs to reevaluate what she's doing. Her career is dead in the water it seems like and putting out album after album in such quick succession isn't doing the trick.

There is a rumour that Janet has signed a contract with live Nation and also it says her new album will come in spring 09.

Live Nation: No Deal Pending With Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson

February 13, 2009 10:21 AM ET

Ray Waddell, Nashville
Despite rampant speculation to the contrary, Live Nation has not signed a multi-rights or long term deal with Janet Jackson, according to a company spokesperson.

Multiple online reports in the past few days have stated that Jackson has likely followed the course recently taken by established stars such as Madonna, U2 and Jay-Z and signed a 360-deal with Live Nation Artists.

"We have not signed a deal with Janet, nor are we currently in discussions with the artist," says John Vlautin, senior VP of communications for Live Nation.

After just 14 months on Island Def Jam, Jackson departed the label last September. According to Jackson's publicist at the time, IDJ agreed to dissolve their relationship with the artist at her request.

After a long stint with Virgin, Jackson inked a deal with Island in July 2007 and released her label debut, "Discipline," in February 2008. When album sales failed to meet expectations, the singer expressed dissatisfaction with IDJ.

A Live Nation-promoted tour last year was a box office disappointment, with Jackson scrapping a number of shows due to illness.

although I enjoy all her stuff, if true, this sounds like magnificent news

janet, give the album making a breakfor a while... concentrate on something else...

tired of Janet already...

when have you ever not been tired of Janet, lol. i'm tired of folk who constantly shit on music they've never been fans of in the first place and "never will be" (your words) and so supposedly shouldn't care about, right?

so cool!! i hope it all works out for her... i applaud her for never stop doing what she loves..in all the mess she stays in..or all the mess they put her name in... love Janet..i would buy the CD..

I think she should do a couple of movies in which she would show different sides of herself and play anything but a sex symbol. And then after a while do another album but an album with more "deep" songs, like the Velvet rope. That´s just my opinion.

I can't wait for the time reunion album and I'm also happy to hear Janet is working with JJ&TL again
