As everyone has now heard, no doubt.

Chicago Tribune said:
BELLEFONTE, Pennsylvania - A jury in Centre County has convicted former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky of sexually abusing children over the course of several decades while a coach and coach emeritus at Penn State.

The jury, which deliberated for two days, found Sandusky guilty of 45 of 48 charges of sexual abuse in a case that has rocked the normally sleepy community of Centre County.

Allegations of a cover-up by high ranking Penn State officials led to the firing of longtime head football coach Joe Paterno, who died several months later at the age of 85. Perjury charges against two Penn State administrators who allegedly lied to a grand jury about their knowledge of the sexual abuse are still pending.

Sandusky, once hailed as a hero in State College where his defenses anchored two Penn State national title teams, now faces about 440 years in prison.

^He was clearly guilty. I read the Grand Jury Presentment regarding his case, and in that 23 page summary one could see it was more likely than not that he did, in fact, molest and rape these kids. The stories were -very- similar, all eight of them. His grooming tactics were predictable, from gauging the kids' discomfort level by placing a hand on their knee in the car, to bribing their alliance to him via "exclusive" things such as access to the Penn State players/games and pro football games, etc. The fact he always targeted "at risk" kids from his Second Mile charity also stands out, since he deliberately chose the destitute to prey upon.

This was an evil man who hid behind a façade of goodness, and who left so many children traumatized in his wake. We only know of the ones who have come forward covering a 15 year span, but the bloke is 68. Imagine how many more there must be.

The adults in these kids' lives and Penn State completely failed them, and all for what? Football...and money, of course. Astounding is the fact these children are each more courageous than the entire Penn State administration [including that glorified pedo-enabler Paterno whom Pennsylvanians seem to adore] and all the adults who failed to report the abuse they either witnessed or were told about.
