Michael Jackson's children, Paris and Prince Michael to accept lifetime achievement Grammy for him
Michael Jackson might be gone but the awards keep trickling in.
The King of Pop's two eldest children will take the stage Saturday at the Special Merit Awards ceremony to accept a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for their father, according to CNN.
Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, are scheduled to make their first public appearance since the memorial service 12 days after Jackson's death, according to CNN, which quoted unnamed Jackson family sources.
Jackson's youngest son, seven-year-old Blanket, is not expected to appear at the awards show.
A video of the presentation will then be shown during Sunday night's musical tribute to Jackson during the Grammy telecast, according to CNN.
However, not everyone in the Jackson family is happy with the planned presentation.
Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, will attend the ceremony, but Joe Jackson, Michael's father, will not be present due to anger that he was not consulted about having his grandchildren accept the award, according to the report.
Grammy producers and the Jackson estate's special administrators decided who would take part in the tribute, which doesn't sit well with all members of the performer's family, according to CNN.
Despite being left out of his son's will, Joe Jackson has requested a monthly allowance from his son's estate, claiming that he depends on his son's financial support to live.

Michael Jackson's Father Gets Hearing In Estate Case
Joseph Jackson, father of the late Michael Jackson, will finally get his day in court as he seeks a sizable allowance from his late son's estate. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said Thursday (January 28th) that he would hold an evidentiary hearing on May 26th.
The Jackson patriarch is seeking more than $15,000 from the pop star's estate, and first challengeed the estate back in November. He says he has little income.
Michael's will stipulated no monies for his father, with whom he had a strained relationship. The will named as administrators lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain, who have both
opposed the elder Jackson's claims.

House Michael Jackson Rented Sells To Fan For $3 Mil
(RTTNews) - A house in Las Vegas that Michael Jackson once rented has sold for $3.1 million. The purchaser of the home is reportedly a fan of the King of Pop, and wanted to buy the home due to MJ's association with the property.
"The estate became famous and generated tremendous interest because of the MJ connection; in fact, the buyer is a big Michael Jackson fan," realtor Zar Zanganeh said in a statement.
According to the e-mailed statement sent out earlier this week, the house was bought by a couple with property in both California and Asia. The Las Vegas property is more than 16,000 square feet, with seven bedrooms, a tennis court, basketball court, and 20-seat theater.
The statement also indicates that the mansion is the largest piece of real estate sold in Sin City in the last year. Jackson rented the mansion in 2006-2007 when he returned from an extended trip overseas.

Michael Jackson's Doctor Could Be Charged Next Week
Los Angeles DA reportedly considering charging Dr. Conrad Murray with involuntary manslaughter.
Criminal charges could finally be coming in the June 25 death of Michael Jackson. More than six months after the King of Pop's passing, his embattled live-in physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, could face manslaughter charges as early as next week, according to TMZ.
Citing multiple law enforcement sources, the site reported that Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley and members of his office have met to discuss charging Murray with involuntary manslaughter and that charges could be filed next week.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office could not be reached for comment at press time.
Earlier this year, TMZ reported that the Los Angeles Police Department had completed its investigation into Jackson's death and was preparing to send the case to the DA's office within weeks. According to the latest report, the LAPD still has not presented the case to the DA, but members of the DA's office have worked closely with police on the case and are familiar with its details. The deputy DA assigned to the case, David Walgren, has reportedly briefed Cooley on the case and is in possession of all the police department's notes on the matter.
Murray has told investigators that he administered the surgical anesthetic propofol, as well as other tranquilizers, to Jackson several times in the hours leading up to his death, and the coroner has ruled the singer died of lethal levels of the drug. Involuntary manslaughter charges would require prosecutors to show that Murray engaged in gross negligence in his actions but did not intend to cause harm or death to Jackson.
