Janet Jackson has revealed her intention to start a family with partner Jermaine Dupri.
The 43-year-old singer, who has an on-off relationship with Dupri, said that a role in theatre might be in the pipeline.
"At some point I would like to do theatre - it's something I've always wanted to do," Jackson said, speaking to Gotham magazine. "I'll [produce] more films. And I would like to have children."
The star also insisted that her career has been "very fortunate" thus far.
"I think it was the way I was brought up. I was very fortunate to see all of this before it ever happened to me through my brother, so I knew what to expect.
"I watched the way my brother handled it. It’s also important who you surround yourself with. True friends aren’t afraid to put you in check," she added. "If I want to take a break from work, I love going to the islands. I love the ocean. I also love being with my family. I love going to the movies."

If she wants children of her own, I say she better get started ASAP, time ain't on her side, she's gonna be turning 44 in two months ain't no spring chicken for sure :lol:

Janet says she wants to have children in every darn article for the past few years.....she won't be having any kids of her own given her age, she may adopt, but I don't see her with kids period in the future.
 
I hope she does have a baby. She'll have beautiful babies. She is still young enough.
 
44 is not THAT old...there are treatments anyway that you can go through (actually i feel wierd talking about this lol so I'm exiting the thread now!)
 
Nah, Janet's not too old. She doesn't age anyway LOL.

I think she'll make a good Mum. :) Plus, the kids will be nothing but perfection with her genes. :giggle:
