Janet Jackson is taking a break from music to focus on having a baby with boyfriend Jermaine Dupri, according to new reports.
Jackson sparked rumours she was expecting her first child with music mogul Dupri after she scrapped a string of rescheduled concerts after falling ill with vertigo at the beginning of October.
According to reports by the National Enquirer, the couple is using Jackson's hiatus to start a family.
A source tells the tabloid, "She's over her health problems, and he feels since the tour was less than a smash hit, it would be the perfect time to start a new project - a baby. Janet is 42 years old. Jermaine wants to get married and have a child before it's too late.
"Janet tried to fight through the dates but it was getting more and more difficult. He told her they don't need the money, and he didn't want to put her through the exhaustion and risk of more health problems. They both want a baby - he told her the time was now.
"He wants Janet to focus on her health so that if she gets pregnant, there won't be problems that could prevent her from carrying to full term. After hearing Jermaine's logic, she decided to cancel the tour.
Earlier this month, the singer revealed she is just waiting for the right time to become a first-time mum, telling Sister 2 Sister magazine, "At some point it's coming. When? I have no idea. He (Dupri) has been past ready. He's just waiting for me; I'm the one
holding up the whole thing.
"Everyone tells me that there will never be a good time, that I will always be busy, but I just think when the stars are aligned it will happen."

Lawd the Rhythm Nation is already pissed for the cancelled dates, now having a child is really gonna set her back, and the stans will be lost on an escapade, pissed.

And because she has decided that after a zillion years in the business, she wants a family, people are going to be ... pissed?

Of course, if this is even true. People love to lie on and about the Jacksons...

aww Janet yay!!! how cute little baby janets and jermaines running about. to heck with those who are more interested in seeing her perform for them than being happy for her. this is one of life's happiest happenings. anyone who'd actually be pissed -- rolls eyes -- if they spent money just refund them their tickets and if thats how they're gonna be good riddance. if story is true im very happy for her and jermaine :)

Somehow, I really don't see Janet becoming a mom, she its not something that seems to be her top priority for the longest while.

That rumor is old and pathetic. Janet stated many times that she never had a child. If her stans cannot deal with that answer, then they need to move on. They also need to stop listening to the DeBarge family. If Janet wants to become a mother, good for her. Her stans should respect her decision. The article made a good point: she does not need the money regarding this tour.

Also, the article seems very tabloid to me. National Enquirer - I mean, really. Come on.....
 
a lot of people are talking about how the enquirer is becoming legit cus of getting supposed first scoops on things. well...sorry...NOT.

i don't care if the enquirer seems to get a number of scoops in a row, and then the news is announced by the subject of the scoop...i don't believe in tabloids. and the enquirer is a talbloid. i need to hear it straight from Janet.

I don't know Janet does not seem like the mother type. But if she wants to have a baby I say go for it before she turns 50

It's more and more in the news now. People think she's already pregnant. Despite my crude jokes, I do hope that every goes well with her.

and dupri went off on perez...jan said she wants to have kids but she's the one holding it up....her ass....it's cuz of what she told larry king when she was w/ elizondo...she doesn't want a nanny...she wants to do it all herself and if she's still actively working and all, she can't do that. so that's the conflict.

either be a parent and let soemone else take care of ur kid while u work or stop working and take care of ur kid ....
