Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri Together (Just Not Married)

Though the status of their relationship is often a seesaw-ride of "are-they-or-aren't-they," Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri are indeed together, PEOPLE has confirmed.

The couple were rumored to be broken up around the time of Michael Jackson's death when Dupri did not attend the funeral services. Jackson herself fueled rumors when she told Harper's Bazaar that she was single.

"They never really broke up," a source tells PEOPLE. "Jermaine wanted to give her some space when Michael died."

In fact, the blog world says the two are so happy that they are planning a wedding. And with whispers of possible nuptials reaching fever pitch, Dupri doesn't exactly deny the rumors, but he does say he's heard them plenty of times before.

"They've been saying that for years and you don't see a ring on my finger," he told PEOPLE on Friday at a Prive Las Vegas party to launch his Nu Pop Movement watch line. "I guess it just sounds good to have that rumor this time of the year or something."
 
nah....I dont think Janet would marry him.....People magazine as a credible source??....:lmao:
 
she said she would actually. she's never done that before. so if he asks, she would. hell she'd even have his baby. she said that too. it's all in mauldin's hands
 
Since I've see recent pics of them I believe this, but Janet hun you could do much better.

this is the first dude who's supported JAN. financially can give her what she wants and it looks like emotionally. remember when she was married to rene she lied and said she wasnt'

in the beggining of her relat. w/ jd she said she would never marry again and didn't know about kids. now she says she's ready for kids if he wants them and will marry if he asks her.
 
If it is true, bless them. Love conqures all. If you really love someone, you'll stick by their side..as long as there's a give and take.

As far as doing better... most of us here would agree that you don't need a supermodel for a partner...having someone who is patient, caring, considerate, compassionate, loving, supportive, talented and sober, now THAT's a true catch in today's world.

Janet deserves a good relationship and it really seems Jermaine is the right man for her..

Renee was a junkie too? I didn't know that, but Renee used to look good back in the day.. well at least both men are about the same height and perfect for Janet lol :D

Rene wasn't a junkie! Yes, he depended on Janet financially but he also worked within the industry. and yes, Rene cheated on Janet but Janet cheated on him too lmfaoo! James was a junkie but Janet loved him very much and even said that their whole relationship was just bad timing and if they were older they would still be together. JD is very immature and overwhelmed by Janet the celeb, not the person. Janet can do much better. I'm glad she's not with him anymore.

most relationships don't work out cus a lot of people have the wrong idea of criteria.
 
um yea rene was a junkie. their chef ricardo macchi had proof that hoefflin used his name to get prescriptions for them. one of the scripts? an opiate beta blocker think methadone. so it's used for opiate w/drawl....

have u seen renee now? he looks like the cryptkeeper. and jan cheating on him? avec? cuz um....yea. i wonder who the bitch in the beachhouse was

If JD was so good explain why in 2007 during All Star weekend he was making it rain with Pacman and Nelly? He was disrespecting women in the strip club and guess who else was in Vegas? Janet. She was busy trying to help her brother by holding a family intervention while the troll was at the strip club.

Wow, Im a little disheartened by the hate in this thread, so im not going to say much...

but, not all 'junkies' are the scum of the earth. some are simply misguided and caught in a trap.

I mean this all with love, but with the exception of SoSo (and im not sucking up because shes a mod, but because I know her sources are direct)... nobody here has the slightest idea what life was like for them... In my humble opinion, sure, discuss...but do it respectfully. No one has the right to judge unless youve lived in their shoes.

On a lighter note, If this source is reliable then Im happy for janet, she really deserves some happiness in love, and of late, in life. Its long overdue.

The one in Vegas was merely a rumor? 'Cause I recall Tito said -- in his interview with the Mirror, after Michael's passing -- that they'd done an intervention when he was still at Neverland [according to Tito, Michael denied any addiction and said they were overreacting]. And that they made attempts after that, but were kept out by Michael's people.

I really wouldnt trust anything you read in the mirror. it is a UK tabloid 'newspaper' not even worthy of being used as toilet paper
 
Renee reminds me very much of Danny Keough LMP's first husband he's aged a lot as well.

Those were Tito's own words, not the Mirror's. I know it's a tabloid. He did an interview with them after Michael's passing [I don't know why he'd choose to do one with them, but he did]... as did Marlon and Latoya.
