Just when we thought it was over, look what's back in a flash.The Supreme Court has ordered a lower court to reexamine Janet Jackson's infamous "wardrobe malfunction" from the 2004 Super Bowl.

In the wake of the uproar over the Justin Timberlake-assisted mishap, lawmakers jacked up the top amount for indecency fines and federal regulators subsequently made an example out of CBS.That was, until the Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals tossed the punishment, calling it "arbitrary" and "capricious."
In a statement, the Eye says it's hopeful the judges "will again recognize that the Super Bowl incident, while inappropriate and regrettable, was not and could not have been anticipated by CBS."

This is getting dumb now. They should have resolved this one way or the other a long time ago. I know it sounds stupid. But sometimes I think the fact that this keeps coming up again and again is just a constant attempt to milk one more drop out of the publicity surrounding that incident. Bouncing it back and forth in the courts is just making the whole thing unnecessarily agonizing for people, and especially for Janet IMO.

People don't make a fuss over bare breasts on National Geographic which is shown on PBS. Is it supposed to be different because they're so-called "primitive" people?

Double standards. They never complain when ww like PH show their vaginas but if Janet shows parts of her breast she has to apologize for the rest of her life
 
I blame Timberlake and still blame him, His Ghetto card is still active and he has been invited everywhere, On Music Award and Comedy shows and even movies while poor Janet is struggling to get her career back on track.I also notice that Tinnibake was high when he did that Wardrobe Pull. I've never forgave him for what he has done to Janet and the Jackson family. Some !@#$$%%69^%$# Friend. Also keep in mind that Michael was going through problems of his own with that horriffic trial and it was open season to get to Michael all they knew how to upset him. Don't tell me that the stint was to take the media off of Michael because I would never had believed you. This case should be dropped. If They can show naked butts on TV Dramas as such as NYPD Blue and Naked People on National Geographic and some PG-R rated Movies without a care,what's the problem ? They didn't go after them. NGEO was always on PBS Channels so anything like that would be shown,I hate to say because the only people you see are African woman and small Children or Other people of dark color,But Soaps and Dramas that let People disrobed in such a way is a double standard and these kids are watching.I know somethings are not appropriate for kids but Tinnibop should have known that before he got (In The True words of George Harrison)Pissed Drunk or Drugged.I just hope he wasn't paid off by someone to embarrassed Janet and her Family.
 
Unbelievable. This has to be atleast one year in court for every second of her breast now.
 
Well in some places in the US, it's illegal to breastfeed in public. In places where it is not, people still look at women feeding with disgust. When Madonna released the "Justify My Love" video, it was shown of the Nightline and the FCC said nothing. They say nothing about the average rap video with booty girls in them. But yet make all of this fuss over something that not many people saw until it was put on the internet.
 
if i were janet i would start to speak out on how ridiculous this is. i wouldnt want to be run over like this. janet has such a sweet manner to her though..i doubt i would if this happened to me. Timberlake was such an a*. if he was trying to distance himself...? what a immature brat. this nipple thing is lame.. i thought from the beginning of time i assumed we originally covered up as humans because we were cold..not because of sexuality... how did it turn into you will burn peoples eyes out with a nipple? why are we so afraid of our own bodies?

They need to move on and drop it i mean its not like someone was physically hurt or anything..Just like Janet said, they put put all the attention on her to distract people from the war and whats really going on even when Bush wife made a little comment..I was like is it really that big of a deal for the then president wife to make a public statement??

The presidents wife made a statemet??? The reaction to this is among the biggest over reactions I have ever seen.
 
Issues like this make me embarrassed to be living in such a country. Only in America would a split-second airing of a partially covered breast lead to more than five years of litigation and unprecedented public outcry :no:. And of course, the incident was entirely Janet Jackson's fault so she's the only one that deserves to suffer consequences, all poor Justin Timberlake did was rip off her top while singing "Gonna have you naked by the end of this song." :rolleyes:

I watched this as it happened and had a good laugh and then watched the rest of the game without thinking about it. I had no clue how much we'd have to hear about "Nipplegate". Ridiculous.

i was going to say the same,all the stuff they show on tv alot worse than that,but thats o.k isn,t it,it,s just because it,s a jackson they have to make it sound worse.
