I really wish Janet would shut up about MJ.. She hasn't said anything good or postive since his death, and in all of her latest interviews she's thrown MJ under the bus, so I think it's best if she says nothing at all
 
If you have such a problem with it, how about you ask people to stop asking her about Michael? That'll solve your problem.
 
By the way, her responses about Michael are genuine.

Btw again, wasn't she bullied during school when she was on Good Times? I know lots of people don't like to talk about the bullying that happens to them.

She said she was ostracized during school. Kendall Brown was like her only friend during her elementary and middle school years.
 
As I mendtion here that I'm not going to wacth Larry King Live because I don't have no cable.... :-( but I porrbly going to wacth on youtube the next day. Janet still going to keep talking about MJ in her interviews...

They won't, he's the one they are interested in / want to know everything about.

BTW....was'nt the 'no Michael questions' back in effect? guess certain interviewers are exempt.

They're agenda is to continue to make him out to be a freak and using Janet to do it. It wont work though.

In any event, the movie comes out tomorrow. Janet has Oscar buzz. Not getting my hopes up though.
 
Larry only asked Janet about Michael once - he said he wasn't going to dwell on it. But he asked Janet how she heard the news about his death and she said she got a phone call and CNN was on her TV...and then she smiled, I guess because it was ironic since there she was with Larry King on CNN right now but that smile seemed odd to me. I know she has said she smiles when stressed or something but this was just strange to me, to almost laugh when speaking about the death of your brother which was not even 18 months ago.

Other than that moment Janet sounded very sweet and it was an interesting interview (Larry with his brand of questioning and flirting).
 
I am glad someone else is seeing Janet acting very strangely !! I don't like how she is responding to the Michael questions !! I watched the Larry King episode tonight and I felt uncomfortable after it was over !!

What scared me MOST was...:bugeyed

1) She apparently now has taken to calling Michael "MIKE"..It felt more then abnormal to here her continue to call him that !! "MIKE" ????? Say "my brother, my big brother "!! She has NEVER called him that !!??? What's wrong with her !! I think she is in denial so deep that she can't ever say his name anymore !!:angel:

2) She has dropped the weight again , to quickly to be healthy and making jokes and tripping over her tongue !! This is not the Janet I have known !! I know she is trying to get back out there again, and a new image is needed, but way to much to fast !! It just doesn't feel right !! :angel:

She is always beautiful, but something is going on behind that perfect smile and new clothes !!:scratch:

I am really concerned for her and will be praying for her..:wub::angel:

Don't read too much into it. Janet is always smiling. Just wish i could get back the hour i invested in watching the show.
 
I think Janet's smiling is just her defence mechanism. She explained this in the Robin Roberts interview.

LOL.... same ol' same ol' huh??? I didn't even bother watching. She's been talking about the same thing for the last 15 years.. her weight, her self-esteem issues, how happy she is and the cowboy in the desert that helped her.
 
If you didn't bother watching, why come into a thread about a particular person just to bash them? What would you really have to contribute to the discussion that's constructive?

Janet has said before that she tends to smile when she talks about things that are difficult to talk about. Have some respect. Good job Larry King, I love him hes very respectable.

You do also call Michael for Michael or Mike right?
Why is it wrong that she call him for Michael/Mike?
I think she can call him whatever she want. :)
 
Some of this interview was basically a word for word rehash of recent interviews done by her, so it was predictable.

She has called Michael "mike" for ages.......
And Larry King has known (some of) the Jacksons for years, so naturally Janet was comfortable talking to him and joking around. I don't see nothing wrong with that.

You say you don't like how she responds to questions about Michael. It's her brother, he died, and that hurts like hell. When Larry King mentioned MJ I got all teary eyed....and I admire Janet's ability to keep talking and not burst out in tears.

What exactly is it what you expect from Janet?
 
I think people are being too harsh on her here. I don't like what she said on ABC or Oprah either but think the criticism against her here is unfair. She's already stated that smiling is a defence mechanism and a lot of people do it. I do the same and it may seem inappropriate but its a normal reaction to dealing with un-nerving situations.

Thats true... Many come over here just to bash family members like they do on the other boards. If you dont like the family... Why click on 2300 Jackson Street to begin with???

I watched the interview and she was only asked one question about Mike cause Larry said he didnt want to dwell on it. She smiled because it was irionic that she was talking about hearing it from CNN and she was on CNN giiving the interview(another poster said this also). N yea she said basically the same thing she said in other interviews, I was expecting that though...

I dont think that is their agenda. I thonk it is just to get as many raitings as possible. One thing is that Janet doesnt like to talk about her family much and its been that way for years.. Its just some other people that you have to worry about

I think you may be reading a little 2 much into the interview. As far as im concerned.. she always acted like that in interviews. I just wanted to say that no one really calls anyone named "Michael"..... "Michael" especially family, friends and close ones. Thay call them Mike n i have heard his family call him that plenty of times before.
 
Maybe smiling is her way of coping with stress and helps her with coping through it.
 
Janet was acting strange even for Janet in this iinterview. She almost acted like someone who was well....slow.
It was strange and boring. I got up before it was over to go to Walmart.
I don't if its an act she does, acting like she's shy or whatever but its played, I know that much.
 
People over -analyze everything way too much. Janet is a very and always been more shy, just like her brother Michael. I know it takes awhile for shy people to talk or to get across whats needed to get across...
Maybe Janet called him "Mike" at home in private, who knows. Who cares. She looks great & can't wait for new album.
