It's been a rough couple of weeks for Jay Leno.

Amidst sinking ratings on The Jay Leno Show and other networks discouraging their stars from appearing on Jay Leno's prime time talk show experiment, there are rumors that Janet Jackson has rejected an invite to appear this month on Jay Leno as the former Tonight Show host was believed to be interested in paying tribute to Michael Jackson when "This Is It" hits theaters October 28th.

Although some sources at NBC say Janet Jackson is avoiding Jay Leno like the plague in order to pay him back for years of jokes at her brother Michael Jackson's expense, Janet was more than hapy, however, to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2004 (see video below).

Although NBC has not yet confirmed any plans for The Jay Leno Show to present a themed program surrounding Michael Jackson's "This Is It," those close to Jay Leno say the comedian is eager to pay respect to the late King of Pop and there is now a rapidly closing window of opportunity to achieve this.

You don't speak for me, because I don't like profanity and negativity. Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't have any ill feelings towards Jay.

yeah, probably you don't have ill feelings toward sneddon too. if that's negativity then I'm negative , how about that ?

That's all fine and well if that's what you feel, but you put all members of the site in your statement. That's your feelings and opinion, not mine. I don't need a spokesperson or representative to make statements for me.

well well well..so there are other media outlets that recognize how Leno was negative toward Michael. that's good news. and yes, the ratings for Leno are Karma. no doubt about it. but hey...Okrah, lol, as u put it, did a 'tribute' for ratings. i guess it's the flavor of the month thing to do, right now. and yes, Kudos to Janet, i think she recognizes what to represent.

and, to the poster who said that this is two wrongs not making a right...i don't view it as a second wrong, because, in life, when people do or say bad things, usually that energy comes back to them, so obviously, there is something right about it..otherwise, people who kill, don't get executed like the federal building bomber, back in 1995, and people who are nasty toward other people usually lose friends and make enemies. obviously, it's a universal law. if you want positivity, initiate it. MJ gave the middle finger to the media, and has expressed anger toward those who wronged him. there is nothing wrong with that. in fact, it's rather righteous. you just can't get away with initiating something negative. and, it's universal law that recognizes when someone initiates, and when someone returns the favor. the one who initiates the negativity is wrong, but the one who returns the favor doesn't get it turned again to him or her, unless the intent of their heart is to take their anger out on someone innocent, which is not being done in this case. it's always been like this, since the beginning of time. nothing's changing, anytime soon.

now i can't speak for everybody, but some consider it theraputic, to return the anger where it came from, and it keeps them from staying angry and taking it out on innocent people, which, of course, is a good thing. maybe there are some out there who can stay positive, no matter what someone shelled out at Michael, but, on one level, or another, getting what is given is what happens in general, unless, somehow, Leno issues something that really comes across as an apology...then...forgiveness is a good thing. but, even with forgiveness, the get what you give thing is bigger than all of us. it happens, one way or the other. whether it be dateline or other nbc programs that tried to shed a negative light on Michael, the whole network began suffering ratings losses and losses of money, afterward. that isn't just an accident. the idea behind the get what u give universe, is to keep people in line to do the right thing, in the first place. some may be able to be positive. if they can do that, so be it, but that doesn't make the other people who react angrily, people who are in the wrong.

:doh::doh:

low ratings ..... there is some justice after all..... :wild:

I don't see it as wrong. I see it as not rewarding bad behavior. This man called MJ a child molester with know proof know facts or anything. To reward him is to say keep up the good work Jay you are right about Michael. Good job Janet don't reward him. At least you have ethics. He on this subject doesn't. Why honor someone you think hurt kids. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. He needs a ratings boost. USERS USERS USERS. Go to He&&.

Didn't Jay Leno testify in Mike's defense at the trial?

Yeah, he did, but on the secret recordings done by police he was like - yes, they sounded scripted, yes, they wanted money, and then, at court he really mellowed out, like - um... might have been, probably, not sure, don't remember.
Like he didn't want to take any sides.

I'm not holding a grudge, but I have to say - the Leno jokes during the trial were very disturbing. No respect for this guy WHATSOEVER.

I'm not too sure what to think of this story, because I remember seeing Janet on Jay Leno's Tonight show around 4-6yrs ago and she allowed him to kiss her on the lips and they got on very well, despite making him vile jokes about Michael for many years. And despite being truely supportive of Michael her older brother that she loves very much, she never actually held chat show hosts like Jay Leno to account for their sick jokes about Michael.

I actually like Jay Leno and think he's very funny, but I'd love to put him in his place for the jokes about Michael because they only ever made me angry for Michael and his family.

It was evident those jokes hurt Michael, because he talked about choking Jay Leno in his dreams. Michael said he deserved it. This is on a youtube video where Michael interviewed an author.

I personally, and I say this with as much grace as possible, don't want to say a "BIG F-CK YOU" to Leno. Maybe a "Hahaaa!" laugh by Nelson from the Simpsons. But I don't think we'd be setting much of a positive example by using harsh language in regards to Leno.

Jays ratings went down because prime time talk show isn't exactly the best slot as everyone imagined. He was better off as a late night host.

Anyways, I'd rather watch the Letterman show any day over Leno and Conan.

Michael said he dreamed of choking Jay Leno?!?? Really??

It is on the video where they said MJ may have multiple personalities. It is bull about the commentary, but he did say he had a dream about J. Leno and he was choking him and he deserved it. He could of been playing. Don't know. I don't have the link but if someone has it please post it.

my mother she watch his show i told her not to and she got mad at me cause i told that he say means thing about MJ and know Jay Leno is not funny anymore is BIG LOSER in this world
ownly person is top of this world is my King of Pop :D

ooh i forgot i need to push him right in face Jay Leno :giggle: that i can laugh so hard :giggle:

I love it, my sentiments EXACTO! Janet should never, ever do big chin show he thinks he can just do crap like that and think she is desperate enough to do his show. None of the Jackson should do his show. Michael stated he made fun and made light of the molestation charges are you freakin kidding me????...Jay Leno can EAT IT for eternity!
