Jackson's business manager sues for $2.3m
Michael Jackson's last business manager has filed a lawsuit for at least $2.3 million (£1.5 million) from the singer's estate.
Tohme Tohme asked a judge on Tuesday to unseal detailed financial records from the estate. His attorneys have argued that their secrecy could prevent he and other creditors being paid what is owed to them, The AP reports.
The manager argues that he is entitled to 15% of the revenue from Jackson's This Is It movie, DVD sales and accompanying album release.
Jackson estate attorney Howard Weitzman told The AP that he could not immediately comment as he had not seen the motion.
The late singer's estate has argued that some details of deals signed could harm future negotiations if made public. A Los Angeles judge who has approved many of the contracts has already sealed some of the details.
A hearing on both the sealing of the records and the motion from Tohme is planned for October 7.
