Tried searching and didn't find anything, but Jackie tweeted this today:

JackieJackson5:
Stay tuned! RT @mjnorge: I miss the Jacksons concerts! I want the Victory Tour, Destiny & Triumph tours on Blueray! Want to see them at home

Could we finally be getting some of these on Bluray?

Let's hope!!! It sounds more like he is wishing they will come, not that he knows.

It sounds like Jackie Jackson is LATE to the game. I mean, haven't the fans been asking for these same releases for a good while now.

On a side note: It's a real shame the remaining members of the J5 didn't just move ahead without Michael years ago. Regrouping to be a 4-member group. I personally think they would have had a DECENT amount of success on their own and "probably" would have built a nice little following for themselves.

Something they could fall back on now, IF they had just moved ahead without Michael.

Interesting..thanks for news Dangerous21!

well the reason why they didnt do that is because they didnt want little success but megastardom just like Michael, they wanted the big fame and the big bucks just like Michael that is why they wasted nearly 3 decades doing absolutely nothing. They waited so damn long that almost all of them have reached their 60s. They've turned old and gray it's a shame because like you said they probably would have been able to make a little niche for themselves, maybe they wouldn't have been able to be recognized as international acts, but it would have still been better than what they have now.

Yep twinklEE, that's exactly how I feel.

"THREE DECADES doing absolutely nothing." Dang that stings!

Now who exactly is in charge of the Victory, Triumph, and Destiny tours? Who is the person in position to make decisions as far as these works go?

Does anybody know?

I things that's between the estate and the brothers.

To be honest, I don't believe the brothers have rights to anything.

I believe when these deals were going down, they just grabbed the upfront money and didn't really pay attention to the "long-term," per se.

The Estate of Michael Jackson "may" have some rights, I'm not sure, but I would think that the majority of control "may" be with the record label and/or promoter of this footage.

In my opinion, if the brothers had any rights, we would have seen this footage released a long time ago. It probably would have garnered them some much needed revenue.

I remember reading something about how MJ wanted to release one of the tours so he couldn't because his brothers wouldn't sign.

I highly doubt that the brothers would refuse to sign something that would bring them some much needed revenue.

They were BEGGING Michael to join them on stage, but refused to sign a document releasing old concert footage. LOL! Makes no sense in my opinion.

If you ever come across the material again, please post it. I'd love to read it. Thanks!

No it wasn't a tabloid... From what I remember it was like in the 80's. I do think they own part of the videos along with MJ. I think that because of how things changed when they went to CBS(more creative control, etc)

I don't remember ever hearing this. I feel like we have been wanting old tours released for the longest time and they just never were. Even the solo Michael tours.

How do the rights work for tours? Like the Bad Tour footage - is that under the same catalogue or something else? Does the Estate make money every time Thriller is played?

I read that somewhere once... I believe that stuff depends on what kind of contract You have with whomever. It can be complicated

Victory Tour, Destiny & Triumph tours
Is the Victory tour the one that Don King was involved with?

How did the line-up go, was it:

Triumph,
Destiny, and then
Victory.

In which tour did Michael already begin his solo career. (My old behind is confused. LOL!)

I would like to see the Victory Tour, Destiny, etc.. But who needs a Jacksons tour if we can have the BAD TOUR?

I read somewhere that Michael never wanted footage of the Victory tour to be released because he wasn't satisfied with how it went. He didn't want to do the tour in the first place but did it as a favour to his family, and he was constantly outvoted by his brothers when it came to creative ideas. He also couldn't stand Don King whom according to Michael was "a crook" (cf. Glenda tapes).

The Victory tour never should have happened imo. Michael was already such a huge star at that point and the J5/Jacksons era seemed so far behind him. It would've been more suitable if they just did a "final goodbye" concert (or several, in the same location) and then Michael could have done a seperate tour completely devoted to the Thriller album. That would have been great :) But too late for that now lol.

apparently Michael wanted to call it the 'Final Curtain' but his brothers were against it..

I believe he started his solo career during the destiny tour. Don King was with the Victory tour

MJ had a better energy in the victory tour, i love the jackons tours.

I can wait for this to be released

the bad tour is overrated ;)

Well, it could be that labels weren't interested in signing The Jacksons without Michael. 2300 Jackson Street had 2 Top 10 R&B hits but because people weren't interested in a Jacksons album without Michael at the time, the sales of the album disappointed and CBS dropped them months after the album was released

Michael copyrighted the footage of the September 26 show of the Triumph Tour at the Forum in LA. I'm sure footage of the Destiny Tour, majority of the Triumph Tour, and Victory Tour is owned by all 6 brother, which is why we saw that great footage during the A&E reality show and Marlon's TV special from a couple of years ago

Actually, I do. Nothing beats Bad tour, of course. Destiny tour is available in 2000 Watts section in pretty good quality as well as a Bad tour - Yokohama, but Triumph is in very bad quality and Victory is watchable at best. I would certainly love to see Off the Wall and Thriller era Michael on stage in best quality possible. He was absolutely amazing. Brothers were not bad either. And yes, this is my opinion.
