I've seen lots of photos but i never seen this one. Is the one used on this shirt real or fake?

It's real but beside the obvious editing it's also reversed/mirrored.
The photo was taken at a party at the Museum of Natural History honoring him for record sales thrown by CBS-Epic Records, Feb. 7, 1984, New York.
