I do wonder whether the lyrics are what Michael went through himself or not.

The unhappy love he sings about is something so many men can relate to for sure. I do wonder if that's why he wrote it or if it just totally was his own experience. Or if it's just written by his co-writers (Jerkins etc.)?

I think it was written mostly by his co-writers.

Who knows, maybe it happens to be autobiographical for him and his co-writers and many of male fans?... Like Give In To Me, the content of this song is very "masculine." Demanding, persistent, and competitive in chasing after his goal, which, in many men's vocabulary, is a girl they gotta make theirs.
