I, mostly, find compositions/instrumentals much better and artistic than what we nowadays witness in the music industry. Compositions sound so beautiful without a rapper or a talentless singer ruining the beauty of the beat with their annoying voices. I appreciate many compositions and instrumentals. The purpose of this thread is to share interest in instrumentals and compositions. Share with us any composition you find interesting.

Some of the ones I like,

Song form a secret garden by Secret Garden:

Great thread, zizousama. The instrumentation and musical structure is the central focus of my listening experience even in pop songs; insofar as considering the vocals as an instrument. There's a great hip-hop/soul cat called Steve Spacek who just sings nonsense to emphasise the voice as the instrument.

With regards to instrumentals, my tastes range from instrumental versions of popular songs (including hip-hop - hardly ever listen to the rapping) down to classical pieces.

Our Chihiro here introduced me to a great quote by Tchaikovsky:

I'm going to have a field with this when I'm back home. Will also check out your links.

Glad you like the topic. I was certain I will find an audience. The composition is the core of music. I look forward to discovering and enjoying great works! Keep them coming.

Very nice thread!!

Right now I'm still obsessed with Einaudi....

This is my favorite by far, of his:

Divenire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAI2doCUbNc

It's so beautiful it gives me goosebumps.

This piece is beautiful and calming. I also like,

Resident Evil Main Theme (Movie) by Marilyn Manson:

Ayla by DJ Tiesto:

Adagio for Strings by DJ Tiesto:

Ha I totally have that Resident Evil one :D Loved the Adagio for Strings, I've heard it before but don't have it ;)

I can't find the recording version on youtube but I just love this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYL-V-aTh2Y
The whole song is 7 minutes long on the Lara St. John cd I have called "Gypsy". It's all wonderful. I've heard versions of Dark Eyes before but hers is by far the prettiest... usually end up being a little TOO folky, but with just piano and violin it gives it better character :D

This is one of my favorites.

AGREED! Especially when it comes to rap music. They always use these awesome, solid, heavy beats and ruin it by rapping over it.

Oh... My .. god... A SOTC fan in an MJ forum?!! Marry me! :p

Wow, surprised thread was resurrected. Thanks Duran for contributing. I like the Summer Madness. Heard it before, but didn't know what it was called or who composed it. I was hoping and still hope that people would share more of their faves and we all get to discover exciting pieces that we may have not heard of before.

This may not be an instrumental, but is EPIC. I do not know wether the vocals are actual words or not. Anyone recognizes what's being said? Or does it have no meaning?

Please everyone share with us any instrumental you like whenever you hear one even if it was in a compilation video that people post about sports or anything else.

I love instrumental/classical music. I find that a lot of soundtracks have beautiful instrumental pieces.

"Onegin's Theme" from the movie Onegin, based on Aleksandr Pushkin's famous novel, comes to mind as one of my favourites.

Thank you for starting this thread.
It reminded me about this instrumental piece that I had forgotten.

Benny Andersson makes beautiful music

More Benny Andersson and friends = ABBA

i love instrumental music. considering that much great music seems to come from pain, i'd like to share one theme from a sport known as NFL football. there are others from this sport that i would like to share, if i come up with them.

i also love the music of John Williams..'Star Wars' 'Superman' 'Jaws' etc. And Danny Elfman..First movie of Batman franchise, 'Beatlejuice', 'Edward Scissorhands', etc. You can find those on Youtube. I was too lazy to post them. lol

Man, I just listened to the Oakland Raiders New NFL Theme. It's off the hook! Had to comment on it before I listen to what you posted next. Had to say it's epic! Are they your favorite team? Or you simply heard it and liked it?

Do you know if I could buy it in a high quality format like wav, aiff, flac, acc or at least 320 mp3?

i like the Raiders, but they're not my favorite team. I just like the themes. I don't know if they are on sale..i found them on Youtube. I didn't look to see if they were on sale, but Youtube usually indicates whether or not, they are.
