The official versions of two of Michael Jackson’s songs from his posthumous album, Xscape, will soon be released in India. The Indian versions of
Love Never Felt So Good and Slave To The Rhythm have been created at composer AR Rahman’s music school, KM Music Conservatory, in Chennai.

"It is a wonderful opportunity for KM to be creating Indian influenced covers of these tracks from such a legendary musician. We hope to capture the spirit and essence of Michael Jackson’s music and infuse them with elements from different Indian traditions to make new musical masterpieces showing homage to his legacy," says Fathima Rafiq, executive director, KM.
The tracks will be available for download and streaming by end of June. "Although KM primarily teaches Western and Indian Classical music, working on MJ’s music demonstrates how connected popular music is with its classical past tradition," says Adam Greig, academic coordinator, KM.

A.R Rehman is hailed as the MOST RESPECTED music composer in India. He is a known to be an MJ fan who had met Michael a couple of times. He was also part of the Michael Jackson and friends concert in Europe and even created a song with Michael called, "Ekam Satyam", meaning "One Truth"...which unfortunately never got released.

I'm glad to hear about this new project! May God bless him, and his school!
