If Michael didn't have so many siblings and his three children, do you think his death would be harder to get over? Like if MJ was a one man show his whole life and he was an only child, what would it be like? I dunno, for some reason I think it's easier to bear because so many of them are around...I think it's the thought that they'll somehow manage to keep him alive for us. Anyone else feel this way?

no. not easier for me, because, for me, he was, is and always will be a singular individual, whether or not he has family.

cant be any harder to get over than it is already. mj is unique really makes no difference that jerm or a second cousin is still here. u dont lose someone and think oh its ok u still have another brother/cousin etc around

Michael is so unique and so special. He stood out for the whole world to see and commanded attention from everyone just like that. It doesn't matter how large your family is, losing a much loved member would still be as hard if he was one of three siblings.

how do his siblings compensate for his loss? They do not. Time proved they are not able to fill in his shoes, I for one don't care about the many siblings or their countless children.

If this was the case, there wouldn't have been a "Michael Jackson", because Joe wouldn't have any reason to push him out there as one child is not as expensive as 9. Joe probably would have kept on focusing on his own career with The Falcons or another group or as a solo musician. He had to quit gigging himself to work at the steel mill all the time to support all of those children. For one child, Joe wouldn't really need to do this.

They don't compensate for his loss, they just make it a little easier (for me). When they talk or give interviews or we see them around in paparazzi videos, each of them have some similarity to michael, whether it be his voice, smile, or even their face. It's not just the siblings though, it's MJ's kids too. Nevermind lol, I guess it's just me who thinks this way =/.

Well to me it doesn't make any difference if his siblings are here or not, I don't see how their being relates to Michael, as most of them have been living separate lives for almost 40 years. His children are different-_-

Sometimes it's hard to see his family as they go on. I know they have to but for me it makes me miss him more especially when some of them look or do something like Michael. I watched a little of the Jackson Dynasty and the whole time I was thinking of Michael and wishing he would walk through the door. I guess for me it's actually harder because you see his absence even more. If he was an only child it would still be hard because I can get really sad when I see picture of him or depending what song I hear.

I'll have to agree with you on this, as much as I dislike Joe, this would be a possibilty. Although Maybe Michael would have been seeking music if he did wanted it and have a slightly good music career. Or Maybe he would be someone unknown.

I can understand what you mean.

Something I just realized...
If MJ didn't have any family, who would be fighting for him (along with the fans) at court?

Having another child or many other children can not replace the child a parent loses. It makes the grief no less terrible. No parent should ever have to bury their child.

My girlfriend lost her son to cancer and has 3 other children but her heart still aches for her son because he's no longer here. The Jacksons still mourn Brandon who died at birth.

The worst thing anyone can say to a parent who has lost a child is "at least you have more"

I totally agree with you. Even when I don't have any children myself I can't imagine Ms Jackson her pain. She lost her son, to her Michael is still her child, no matter how old he was, no matter how many other children she has. A mother should not have to bury any of her children. And I'm sure, no matter what he sometimes says or does, Joe is hurt very much too.

Ouch..well I certainly wasn't trying to say that. Sorry if it came across that way.

I'm not sure what the point was I was trying to make, but I'm just glad he has a family. Sure they're not Michael, but they're his flesh & blood and it's good to know he has somewhat of a solid base behind him other than his fans and friends.

But in the end...they can in no way shape or form EVER replace Michael.

It is hard to see the family out and about, especially when you can see they are still mourning. Its hard to see Janet and Latoya as they look like him, it make me cry sometimes.
But I couldn't think of Michael without his large family. I can't imagine him being a solo act when he was younger without the J5, and I can't imagine him doing Scream with anyone else other than Janet.

But I get what you mean...
