I thought I'd make this thread so people could share their ideas about what certain short films would be like for the numerous amount of Michael songs that never existed.
I've got a couple of ideas for some - particularly from Invincible. Here are two for a taste!
Heaven Can Wait
The first scene from 0:00-0:14 would be complete darkness in this room. And with each (I don't know what instrument it is..) note trickles/beams of light appear quickly and then fade into darkness. Then when we hear 'Tell the Angel no...' - Michael appears, as well as a girl sitting on a chair in that darkness - with only a thin beam of light on them. Michael would be dancing around her and beckoning but she can't see him and just looks off into space. Michael is a ghost in this film..
The other scenes would be Michael sort of following her around and her never noticing him. One picture that comes to mind is during the first chorus '.. I don't want nobody else to hold you..' The girl would be in her bed getting hugged by her new lover in the dead of night (who is asleep) And she's basically staring at the camera looking out into the distance.. and in the background there is Michael singing to her but she still doesn't hear or notice him. He'd go around the bed and dance but nothing.. The other scenes would be the girl and her lover walking down the street of NY or something and Michael would be 'escorting them' down the street and trying to get the girls attention. He would break down in the middle of street and break into his adlibs yelling up at the sky.
We could also flash to images of him up in the clouds playing with the children and flying.. And him on some dance floor up in heaven (I'm thinking visually a combo between BOTDF cover and Whatzupwityou short film) - but him still being sad.. The film would finish with her finally on her own.. walking to like a secluded lake with just one park bench looking over the water. She watches the swans gracefully glide along the surface of the water, and then Michael appears right next to her on the bench. She looks in his eyes - she sees him now. And they embrace.. It fades out as another shot shows she's hugging no one at all..
Whatever Happens
I imagine this film as being set at around dusk, and down right by the ocean. Carlos (who would be sitting) would be on a big grouping of rocks and Michael would be interpreting his own dance on the shore/in the water/on the rocks. There would be a beautiful fire crackling away which would create some really lovely shadows and that warmth of colour in the sort of dead of night - lit only by the moon above them.
I can't think of any other scenes right now, but when it builds up to near the end of the song where Michael is ad libbing and clapping etc, I can imagine him in the ocean doing some incredibly emotional dance similar to Black and White; splashing around and creating a beautiful effect with the waves. I had a thought that at the end of the clip that maybe the tide rises up and drags them out to sea (maybe?) The final scene could be Michael swimming underneath the water, going deeper and deeper - with a big cheeky smile on his face.

Those are my ideas, what about yours? They don't need to be anywhere near the detail of mine. I just got caught up in the moment haha. I just have so many images that go through my mind when I listen to a Michael song which lacks a short film.
