Today I attended the chicago comic book convention. Luo Ferrigno was there signing autographs, which costed 30 dollars, which I had no interest in buying, but I approached him at his signing table. I said to him "Hey Luo, this is a strange question, but can I ask which hand you used to shake Michael Jackson's hand?" He had a sad and sober look on his face and he reached his right hand forward. I shook it and said thank you.

So I'm officially just one hand shake away from Michael Jackson. :)

That's a sweet story. Great thinking on your part! 30 dollars for his autograph, shit he's charging for an autograph!

I took a picture of him too, when they are developed I'll post it. On a seperate note, Uhura from Star Trek was there. I paid the 30 for her autograph and got my picture taken with her. I told her I loved it when she tells the story of meeting Dr. King.

I'm a huge trekkie!

You should have asked him why he allowed Michael to be so skinny, why he didn't do anything just like everyone else...he was around to care for Michael's body/health and clearly he did not make enough effort to protect Michael from the irresponsible choices he was making for himself.

He is yet another guilty person responsible for what happened to Michael.
Sick sick sick.
I wish I would have been there to ask him these things to his face.

AWW...I love your thread. This was so sweet and also very brave of you. I hope shaking the hand that Michael once shook made you feel better..:) I always liked Lou anyway. I look forward to seeing the pic...:)

Actually as I walked away I got goosebumps. The same thing happened right when it was announced that he died.

yeah Michael sure did have a way of giving you goose bumps. :) I just watch his Live performances and i feel myself blush..lol

your story reminded me of his absence. but you 're brave

Nichelle Nichols :) I wouldn't have really cared if it was the new one, even though I liked the new movie.

haha! no reflection on Saldana, but I wouldn't either. and yeah I loved the new movie too.

always cool to meet a fellow Trekkie! :D

What kind of comment is this? It's doubtful that Lou was in Michael's day to day life. At any rate Mike is naturally thin and always has been. On the Carol Burnett show, he even says he's "the skinny Jackson". Mick Jagger & David Bowie have always been thin, and no one comments on it. Only Michael is responsible for his own well being. No one can make a person do anything they don't want or is unable to do. Marvin Gaye's family/friends tried to get him help, even flushing drugs down the toilet, but Marvin just went out and get more anyway. Marvin even cleaned up a couple of times, but eventually he went back to old habits.

makes me smile, cry, feel blessed all at the same time...thanks for sharing..
I would like to shake your hand dancemasterman :)
I've always known I'll do something like this if I ever met people who knew Michael personally..

Apparently you've never seen how big this guy is. Plus it's kind of rude to approach somebody mourning a loss in such a manner.

that makes you wonder.. :(
