Re: i buy a MJ book online

I think they are the same book, but the first one is a updated version of the second one you listed. So it covers upto 2003, so obviously go for the first

Glad you went for the updated 2003 edition the first one you've pictured, as it has a decade more of his life! ha ha.

thanks :) :flowers:

  thank you for the book idea :D cause i got the book last year is very amazing book and the pictures too :D

Congratulations on your book. It's a nice read with lots of info.
However, read it, but everything doesen't nececearly need to be the truth. There's a lot stuff there that only MJ himself would know, the author pretends to know everything about his life.

thank you :D :flowers:

so you're sayying that this book his alot of stuff in it about MJ but is half and half truth in
this book  and it's way of MJ story in it too :)

Oh i'm glad you have it=) Am sure you'll enjoy reading it.

The author has had many encounters with Michael throughout the years as he details in the books, his seeing him on key birthdays is a nice section. Am sure he has as he was a top journalist and has spoken with many great people.

But yes, as with most biographies with no input of the actual subject 'apart from the interviews and information recieved from them previously of course', all biographies must be taken with some consideration of how much the author is storytelling.

But it's a compelling read, I couldn't put it down... just make sure you have plenty of time when you sit down to read it as you forget you're supposed to do things;) Luckily I got mine a few years ago in the summer and I had a free day to read it all;)

Okay so i'd also recommend, hmm I think you said you had 'Dancing The Dream', so maybe try to find Thriller 25th Anniversary Book next perhaps? Or the little Moonwalker Storybook, as well it's just nice=)

In my opinion it's not the best book about MJ...

Yepp, couldn't of said it better.

I don't know about the books but Dancing The Dream is an amazing book! You should definately ge tthat next. I highly recommend it=) It's official and written and made by Michael himself! it has poems in it, I know you said you love those=)

The Invincible book is the piano, vocal, guitar music chord book for singing and instruments. I think all of his albums including Number Ones have them.

The Visual Documentary book by Adrian Grant is good, year by year and almost month by month for many years of what Michael has done music and career wise. it's quite a good book, many great facts... J.Randy Taraborrelli in the Magic and the madness book even credits as having used this book to follow facts and days. Many great pictures too.

The others are unofficial and I don't know anything about them, they are probably poorly written and either brief or incorrect. Try stay clear of unofficial biographies as they are full of tall tales, and lies... and tend to paint Michael in a bad light.

Btw where did my post with the book covers go? Hmm that's a mystery. Lv x

hey

thanks for telling me that i'll put dancing the dream on my list :D  cause i write peoms too

i don't were is your post is   you should pm shannon on that she'll help you on that :)

yeah, dancing the dream is really good, and moonwalk is good too.

I'm gonna say this again, even though I feel like I say it all the time, lol

SOooooo, I like the first version of J.R.T's book, because you can tell that at this point, he was really into Michael as a fan would be. He really went out and did his interviews and looked for info, and he wanted to get the story right, and print what was true about MJ. I think he was sort of "in awe" of MJ, and saw him as a very interesting person, and having met him in the late 70's, he saw MJ in person and couldn't help being a fan of his after meeting him. He really had the drive to go out and write a book about someone that he found fascinating.

BUT- I think that after the trials and everything, I feel that his perception of MJ had changed a bit, or maybe he wanted to now say more of what the tabloids wanted to hear. So after the first edition, I dont really trust anymore of what he writes cause I don't think he was still the same fan as he was before. The tabloids has gotten to him.

Now, I'm not saying that I believe EVERYTHING in the first edition. But I will say that It's my fave, and I dont even read the other edition anymore. But thats just my personal opinion :)

Oh so did J. Randy... re-write the story pre 2003 when he resumed from and continued from where he left off? Plus there's that 'updated' paperback version from 2004.

I only have the Hardback 2003 edition, I thought he kept all that he had already written previously, the same.

^ yeah, all that was already written is the same. I was just referring to the newer part
