London - Nelson Mandela has banned Naomi Campbell from appearing on stage at his 90th birthday concert.
The former South African leader is reportedly so upset by Naomi's behaviour over the past few months - which includes assaulting two police officers on a British Airways flight in April and being sentenced to 200 hours community service for the offence - he has personally requested she be taken off the programme from the star-studded event in London on Friday.
A source told Britain's Daily Mail online: "Nelson himself intervened and she was pulled off the list. He was disappointed with her recent arrest - particularly as she was wearing a baseball cap bearing the name of his Aids-awareness charity, 46664, at the time.
"Naomi was slated to introduce some of the acts on stage as she has done with 46664 concerts in the past, but she has been informed that this time she can only sit in the grandstand."
Naomi has always been close to Mandela, and even calls him her "honorary grandfather".
She is said to have visited him for advice on handling her anger after she was arrested for throwing a mobile phone at her housekeeper in 2006. - Bang Showbiz.com
 
If this article is indeed true, what about Amy Whinehouse, plus Michael visited Mandela 3 years after the allegations, why didnt he get banned at past Mandela parties?

^ probably because Amy's been more aware and done more for charity in her 3-4 years of success than Campbell's done her whole life.

and if Mr. Mandela was behind this decision then i applaud him because it's very clear that Ms. Campbell is a spoilt and aggressive twat.


plus Michael visited Mandela 3 years after the allegations, why didnt he get banned at past Mandela parties?

I dont know about Cambell's charity work in general but she has litrally died for the Nelson Mandela's childrens fund,even going as far as posing seni naked. She has become one of the biggest embassders of the fund.
As for Michael, I'm refering to the 93 allegations, guilt or innocence was never established by a court of law.
 
Naomi Campbell has been involved with charitable causes for many years.

Like her or not. I really don't find her behaviour acceptable but I don't think she'd be banned from such an event, she's close to Mandela and his foundation.

I think he is right...just because she's been close to him and asked for his advice and stuff doesnt make her deserve that....her behavior havent been really good for quite a while.
Dang, if she asked for his advice on handling her anger, why didnt she take it?

As for Amy, I would say the same.

As for Michael....well we know hes not guilty, and if thats not enough, Im sure Mandella himself knows he is innocent, and even if theres no veredict estabilished by law, thats water under the brigde and Michael's behavior is the most respectful one and better than anyone I know, and has always been that way...

BTW is he going to be there??
