if you are coming this summer for concerts then i would like to recommend some accomodation for you.
since university students are away over the summer, you are able to stay in various university of london halls of residence. these are much cheaper than hotels and much cleaner, nicer and safer than other hostels.
e.g. UCL has some at:
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/residences/
and LSE
http://www.lsevacations.co.uk/
they have a number of halls you can stay in, and 02 arena is easily accesible by london underground.
