After Black or White, what is the purpose / meaning of Michael crouching behind the wall of speakers, the wall crashing down, and the air raid siren? Is it a distraction to prepare for the effects used in Earth Song? Or could it be about war, chaos, destruction, etc.?

In my opinion, its serves the purpose for both....

Weren't the blocks black and white. Something along the lines of breaking color barriers? Or breaking down the idea that the color of your skin, whether black or white doesn't matter.

not on the history tour..it was just speakers. i dont reall think it has a meaning lol. just mj bein a good showman
