22 years ago today one of the worst football disasters of our time unfolded 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death. It was the FA Cup semi final between Nottingham Forest & Liverpool.

Disasters like this just puts all footballing rivalries into perspective :( Speaking as a hardcore Manchester United fan I send out my heartfelt condolances & sympathies to the friends & family of those 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives.

I'm a Manchester United fan but something like this puts rivalries to one side. This was a tragedy that could have so easily been avoided, and 96 people lost their lives who should all be 22 years older. Rest in peace the 96.

Sadly it remembers me at the disaster by the Loveparade in Germany last year.

remember that day like yesterday. can remember where i was and what i was doing when we first started getting the reports about what was happening. no offence but i find the pics of the ppl pushed up against the fences abit offensive and intrusive. many of those there prob died.
