Dear friends,

The "Chile ayuda a Chile" crusade is over, but you can always keep on donating to Red Cross and other international organizations who will keep helping the ones in need.

Chile has a long, long way to go now to recover. The country has changed forever, but we hope we will stand up.

Thanks for your time and support!

Thank you very much for your words, prayers and support!!! This special "telethon" Chile ayuda a Chile has just ended and I am very proud to say that Chile, despite all its pain, has DOUBLED the amount we were set to gain (instead of 27 millions dollars, we reached 60 millions dollars!!!). We are very happy and this has united us more in this time of pain. Besides, we are receiving much support from many countries and friends: Russia, Cuba, United States, Canada, France, Argentina, Japan, European Union, Colombia, Bolivia, Perú, Venezuela, México, Spain, etc.

Today our heart were given a lot of happiness, pride and strenght. This is just the beginning to rebuild a country, there is much, much more to do, but... together we stand :)

The "Chile ayuda a Chile" crusade is over, but you can always keep on donating to Red Cross and other international organizations.

Big hugs from Chile!!

I donated some money to the Red Cross and UNICEF. We should help Chile just like we helped Haiti. My prayers go out to Chile. God bless.

PCR, I heard about today's earthquake :( Are you OK?

Yes, PCR please let us know you're ok. :(

Thanks, friends, thanks so much
I am ok and so is almost everyone.
But we are physically and emotionally exhausted. We have lost count of the many quakes we have had today, ranging from 6,9 to 5,0. One, 6,9... some 15 minutes, a second, 6,7.... then other 15 minutes, 5,9.... and then I lost count. Last time I heard we have had more than 10 just today. In normal countries all those are "earthquakes" :mello: We are not normal, that for sure.

Thanks God, even with all these strong quakes, there were but very minor issues. Funny thing is our new president was receiving the "authority" over the country in between quakes... 6,9 and then 6,7. Our poor guests from abroad... if we were scared (you can see in the press the face of Prince Felipe of Spain and others ) .

There was panic. A tsunami warning. Nothing happened, but we are exhausted, really, really exhausted

I have no words really, is just ... terrible, terrible. Over 6 degrees for 30 minutes?
Wish you fast recovery and start enjoy again a normal life :better:

We are all dizzy at this point :puke:
There were almost 20 aftershocks yesterday and there has been some 5 this morning. LOL... we call this "aftershocks", but I see for normal people those are earthquakes on themselves. Sure... 6,9... 6,7, 5,8
Yesterday was a WILD day in Chile.
And the new president... and people in shock... little kids being evacuated from school, old people being helped, people running, no phones working. Man is a crazy thing!!! I wish it'll stop :agree:
