I'm a new member here. I tried to register last week but I couldn't because registration was disabled. But I'm just glad to be here now.
I really miss Michael. I've been able to wait for new music from Michael during his rough patches because I always knew that he could over come anything and he had the talent to always deliver. I just knew that his upcoming tour was going to vindicate him and silence the haters.
Michael knew this also. He worked so hard to make this perfect for us. I love him for that. I don't know any entertainer besides Michael who loves his fans more than we love him. I'm very disappointed that Mike won't be able to see the fruits of his labor. It hurts.
I grew up in Los Angeles but later moved to Cincinnati, OH. When I was a kid in L.A. I remember not being able to go anywhere without seeing an MJ look-alike performing on a corner and just thinking to myself, "damn Mike is the ish". I remember all the hype in the city the night he filmed Thriller.
My family later moved to Cincinnati and my parents separated shortly after we arrived. It was a tough time for myself because I stayed with my dad after the break up. My dad had a new girlfriend and I was in a new school. I was so sad every day. At that time, I didn't know how to pray or how to call on the name of Jesus yet. So I just sat in my room and listened to Mike talk to me. His message to me was to love myself and others. His message to me was to hold on and stay strong. I found strength in the integrity of Mike's lyrics and the way he treated people. Mike always put God first and I'm blessed to have been influenced by a great man of God.
I can honestly say that I stood by Mike during all his trials and tribulations. MJ was a good man. Sometimes in life people just don't want to believe someone can be just be a good person. People will assign sin and condemnation to you if they can't easily see it on you.
I just want to say thank you Michael for being yourself. You gave me the strength to press forward by overcoming your obstacles. I will always love MJ.
